I watched it many moons ago. It is the only anime I have ever watched where I was left with the feeling that I had just utterly wasted an hour of my life that I would never get back.

I've recently watched the original Japanese cut of this OVA from 1986, and to be honest, I don't really think it's as bad as some make it out to be. Sure, the character's aren't exactly cuddly, and the ending is cruel on so many levels, but I found it fun, even adrenaline-pumping. At times, I felt as though I were watching this on a stormy school night back in The '90s on my VHS player. I think that's a good feeling to have.
