The potshots I'm talking about are "Nevertheless she persisted", "Fake news", and "Alternative facts". Those are a bit beyond just saying Nazis are bad.

Ultimate Secret WarsPreview for today's ep:
While it's not shown in this clip, last weeks preview for this ep had Daisy using her powers to slam someone against a wall, and I'm near positive it's Fitz...
One Strip! One Strip!Gonna have to miss tonight's airing but I'll watch the episode on ABC's site tomorrow and post my thoughts on it after. Got some stuff to do.
EDIT: Never mind, I might be able to slip it in.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Ok. so now Simmons is subscribing to time travel makes us immortal theory.
That can't be good.
One Strip! One Strip!Welp...I had an entire thing typed up as I'd gradually watched the episode like usual, but I accidentally lost it so my thoughts on it are gonna be structured differently.
So the flashbacks were pretty nice. Was interesting to see a fucking Hydra private school with Sitwell and Von Strucker as students and Whitehall as a teacher. Love the continuity going on, like god damn they're piling everything on top of everything here. Then we have Talbot getting his shit fucked, and the fucking twist that Ruby is gonna be the destroyer of worlds, not Daisy. Speaking of which, Daisy and Fitz are still tense as shit but at least now Fitz knows him and Simmons are not only gonna live for a while, but Deke is their grandson. I liked Fitz's reaction to that, by the way, it was funny. This episode was mostly exposition related to fill in info and set up for the next episode, but it was still pretty interesting at least. And hey, Yo-Yo's finally gonna get to do stuff soon with her new robot arms. That's gonna be fun.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Man, normal Yo-Yo was already dangerous, but now she's gonna have robot arms. She's gonna be knocking heads off.
I'm still wondering how Hydra-daughter is gonna crack the earth. If Daisy did it while in that machine, it would make sense, but what's that girl gonna do?
One Strip! One Strip!I would assume she gets infused with gravitonium, develops gravity powers straight off the bat, and her current mental state makes her go mad(der) with power.
I really enjoyed Coulson's "I'm not falling for any of this crap" attitude in this episode. Especially how he immediately deduced that Ruby was the one who cut off Yo-Yo's arms, you've got to try very hard to fool a man like Coulson. Also Fitz's reaction to finding out his future child will gave birth to "a Deke" is classic.
Tis the great art of life to manage well The restless mindI personally find Leo being such a dick towards Deke extremely unwarranted.

Well, mostly Daisy. Fitz never met him until after all that, so there's really no reason for him to hate Deke that much.
One Strip! One Strip! He's stressed I guess.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Yeah, that's the thing, if it was Daisy who would treat him like that, it would be more understandibly (but even she eventually understood). But Fitz?
Sure. But it is still kinda dickish, he has to at least consider Deke's background before making such snide judgments.
Besides, Deke isn't really stupid at all. He is extremely street-smart. Sure, he is no scientist, but (again) given his background, how could he have been one?

Loved Coulson not falling for the psychological trap of Ruby and just going back to his room with some cereal.
Whitehall was such a fucking goober. Destroyer of Worlds is not an aspirational title. We live on world. You goon.
But if Ruby is being set up to be the Destroyer of Worlds I kind of think that she's going to be Graviton. It might be too late to bring back the man himself. And Hall and Hale are similarish names. Other than that, I got nothing.
Liked Daisy complaining "How are we STILL fighting Nazis today?" Liked Talbot mocking Cap'n Crunch. Liked Coulson deducing his way through the episode but still getting caught flat footed that they're still dealing with Hydra.
This was a really good episode considering we're still doing Hydra.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI don't know why but this was one of my favorite episodes. Maybe it's because of Hydra High.
Does anyone think the political references are a bit too pointed? I enjoy them but I've seen some people get annoyed at them.

He's a terrible scientist, a terrible leader, a misogynist, a racist, and a incompetent goon.
Which is entirely appropriate because he's a NAZI.
Really guys, he was the one you wanted to revive from prison?
:)
It's also something that makes General Nutbar's defense of Hydra all the more ludicrous.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. To be fair, there have always been several factions within HYDRA. Whitehall is by far the worst of the worst.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianHale is probably the most sympathetic Hydra operative we've ever had. I don't think she's a good person necessarily but she's definitely more sympathetic...ah crap. Ruby's gonna kill her and assume command isn't she?
I dunno, I like how this show goes to show you can be an incredibly sympathetic person and you cross the Moral Event Horizon by joining Hydra.
See Ward.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Hale is sympathetic in that it's clear that Hydra is all she's ever known, that they were sexist jerks to her, that she very much loves her daughter, and that she thinks she's the hero
She's unsympathetic in that she's Hydra

Forever liveblogging the AvengersOh man. That HYDRA boarding school nonsense just felt so unreal

You need to indoctrinate your evil cult.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.More unreal than anything else on this show? It doesn't seem any stranger than growing up in a wacky religious cult.
Not to defend the Nazi/Nazi stand-in, but Coulson might have been a little to eager to assume that it was Hale and not Daisy who destroyed the world.
He's not only a Black Ops russian agent, he's working with a member of the United States military. As far as potshots go, that was a fairly well-measured one.
Plus the one in Agents of Hyrda about Nazis was not meant for fictional group HYDRA, but it was meant for all kinds of so-called "alt-rght" groups which are more or less indistinguishable from Nazis in actual, modern day America.
