Samuel L Jackson did Snakes on a Plane for basically peanuts, simply because he thought it looked like such a fun movie to do.
So he's certainly perfectly willing to appear on AOS for affordable prices, since he loves being Fury.
Scheduling is the real issue. Even if he's willing to show up for cheap he's such a big star he's almost always filming or promoting something or other.
For peanuts and later, forcing them to keep the Snakes on a Plane name when they tried to change it to something more serious.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWonder if they'll give him the goofy costume.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117I just hope they do something with Graviton eventually. I'm not gonna forget.
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again. They made a big deal of the Gravitonium at the end of last season. They're not forgetting.
So I was right after all! Ward is all set to be a Boxed Crook in Season 2.
Hmm, well I certainly will be interested to see how they handle Ward being a Boxed Crook. I still think he may go psycho and try to kidnap Skye later down the road. But that's just my theory
Tis the great art of life to manage well The restless mindI'm guessing the opposite. After several episodes of being told why he's such a scumbag (and being kicked in the nuts by May, which is the secret to redemption), he'll be broken out by the Big Bad but will help the team to stop him and go back to jail in a sign he's trying to change.
I'm more curious about why box him specifically.. I mean, he wasn't exactly high up in HYDRA, plus the personal connection would work against a good atmosphere on the Bus by raising tension. There have to be better choices among the people the authorities caught than Ward. Now if they were doing something with Ward's hyper-evil family, yeah, obviously but in-universe there has to be more than Phil trying to steal his beard as a toupée...
Also curious about how an outlaw organisation got their hands on an imprisoned HYDRA agent to start with.
I still don't see Ward as H.Y.D.R.A, since I never got the impression that he believed in the organisation. He just believed in Garret. That's not the same. And while Garret only saw the puppet in him, he might have told Ward more than anyone else, because he was the only soldier who certainly would never betray him, because Ward didn't have any own goals. His whole being was centred around pleasing Garret. Ward was his during his entire career, he must have known more about his machinations than anyone else.
Maybe. Ward was put out that he didn't know Garret was going to have Skye shot. Maybe he's used to being in the loop. Still there has to be someone else, someone who isn't a highly trained one-man-army ? A Sitwell-equivalent they could use ?
And I mean that Ward was arrested as a HYDRA agent. He's no believer but from a legal perspective, that's doesn't mean much. The Army/CIA/NSA/FBI/FCC is still giving a HYDRA operative to an outlawed organisation who were a HYDRA cover for a coup d'état. Even if Coulson managed to have some kind of pull, that seems a stretch.

We assume that Ward knows a least a little bit about some Hydra secret operations that Garret must have told him about. In the finale Coulson did say that they were going to do whatever it took to drill Hyrda information out of him if I'm correct. I just hope they add depth to the whole Boxed Crook thing that they plan on doing with him. I do know that they said that Ward will begin trying to find out who he really is as a person. Now whether or not that will warrant a redemption arc remains to be seen.
Tis the great art of life to manage well The restless mindI criticized this show a lot when it was first airing and quit about 7 episodes in but after learning about some of the plot developments in the latter half of the season I decided to go back and watch it again. I'm surprised at how much better this show gets after the first 7 or so episodes.

lol @ coincidence of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D new season airing next day that Gotham premieres.
100% of my attention to be on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Plus Gotham aired on bad day for me. Too much focus on extracurricular activities than I am on Tuesdays.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenI heard that the Gotham pilot got mostly mixed reviews so....yeah, I'm gonna be focusing mostly on Aos as well.
It really can't get off to a rougher start than AOS so I'll be giving my attention there. If I hear good things about season 2 of SHIELD I might check it out.
I'm not interest in a Batman show without Batman. At least this show has built up some good faith with me.

The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.A Batman show without Batman is probably the only way to make Batman interesting for me anymore. Batman.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I just mean I'm not interested in a cop procedural show. Which is what Gotham without Batman seems to be.
Also, the anti-Batman circlejerk is becoming more annoying than the Batman circlejerk.
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again. It is possible for people to watch two shows, I think.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWell, excuse me.
I don't hate Batman. I'm just not convinced anyone can do him right anymore.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."
No, that was Glenn Talbot, aka Ross-lite.
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.
