Tried the re-reworked saryn. She's now boring to play.
Well, not boring, more like, tedious.
The spores can now be recasted (like before), so that's good. Damage don't reset to 0 when all your spores are gone, so that's good too. But spores no longer spreading on death is terrible. Sometimes your damage would be high enough that when you cast it on a new target, it'd die before you get to pop the spores. Other times, enemies would die from the tick and not your weapons (poor timing, you'd do a lot of burst damage on it, but it's the spores tick that lands the killing blow), so the spores don't spread even when you're attacking them. You also end up chasing spores instead of just killing enemies because you're trying to keep the chain going.
It's like DE came up with a few fixes to the saryn problem, and instead of applying it one by one and seeing which works best, they just applied everything and called it a day.
FTFY
Welcome to DE where we tackle game design with finess of Boltor totting Rhino.
The problem with spore spreading on death is that Spore becomes a fire-and-forget ability at low levels or when you have a crazy power strength build, which isn't the game play that DE strives to do.
I guess an option would be to use Overextended, if you really want your gameplay to revolve around spreading spores. It has more reach and the reduced damage gives you more chance to actually shoot the spore to spread it.
I am on Overextended, though. And Stretch. And Cunning Drift. 250% range lel.
The problem, at least as far as I observed, is the sporetick being the killing blow. Not sure if they removed the "spore spread on kill", but at times I've spored a single target in a group, killed the target in one shot/headshot, and the spores do not spread. Alternatively, I'd do just enough damage to a target, and then it dies from the sporetick, so no spread. And as I've mentioned before, if your damage ramp up is high enough, simply casting spores on a target is enough to kill them, so you're just casting spores over and over, or you let the ramp get low enough before you start the cycle again. It makes her unnecessarily complicated.
So now it's back to Ignis/Embolist for Saryn, instead of "whatever weapon I like" for Saryn.
can confirm it's a pain in the ass to spread spores if people just kill things without somehow hitting a spore.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"So Baro will come in less than 5 days. I've been farming for prime parts to sell them for ducats, I currently have 2,4k ducats.
See, the thing is I want these 2 weapons from Baro: Prisma Gorgon and Prisma Grakata. I really want them bad. How I feel and what I want aside, you fellow Tenno feel they're worth it? I wouldn't touch Soma with a 10-foot pole (maybe Soma Prime. Emphasis on maybe), but both of those Prisma variants sound so appealing. I shouldn't get far ahead, Baro may not have them when he visits this time around...
Also, to anyone who has Oberon as his main or plays him a lot, is it worth if I had both Blind Rage and Transcient Fortitude on him? See, I want to maximize ability strength at all cost, but is it worth it? Am I making a mistake? I'd have a killer Smite and Hallowed Ground and Iron Renewal would buff armor rating from 260 (with Intensify) to 510 but... yeah. (I know I can also add Intensify for 285% ability strength, but 255% is good)
Also, I got my sorry ass suspended from all in-game chat due to making a fool out of a mod. Serves me right.

This is my Oberon Prime build - Tank/CC, ignores everything up to Sortie 2 levels and works fine in Sortie 3 (but punishes dumb mistakes in that case).
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundIt depends what you want out of Oberon. If you want to be a Renewal bot, you have to use a Rage mod, and you need to make sure your efficiency matches the enemy's damage. If the enemy doesn't damage you at all, you won't get energy, so your low efficiency build will fizzle out all the time.
If you want to make an offensive caster, you don't need to be as mindful of energy consumption, but past a certain level range it won't be the optimal build.
It usually takes some time and tinkling to find the right amount of all stats that will be useful on most missions. My Oberon Prime has mostly tank mods, with a decent amount of power strength, lots of durability and no range. It works fantastic as a tank, but I don't use it to damage enemies with abilities.
You can use pretty much any weapons on the star chart, if you invest forma in them. With that said, Prisma Gorgon/Grakata aren't really the strongest weapons out there. I have 8 forma on my Prisma Grakata and a Riven, but I don't deploy it very often.

Prisma Gorgon with a good riven is great.
But you can say that about any weapon.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"Yeah, a good riven can make a shit weapon useable. I've got a phage riven that is a murder machine in the Void.
Got Khora to 30 a little while ago, and I am a fan. Venari keeps killing stuff I didn't know was there, her whip abilities have enemies screaming safewords, my one complaint is Venari can't use the hunter mods. Hope that gets patched.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117So, just started playing and just got to MR 3 and got an Archwing...any tips on what should I do next? Also, what should I do to get into making some plat by trading (because holy crap is the slot size limited)?

Give me cute or give me...something?grinding relics is your best bet, but I'd just hold off on that for now. platinum won't transfer to power too well for you right now. (or hopefully ever with melee 3.0 and the I can only hope CATACLYSMIC nerfing of maiming strike and condition overload)
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"As for what you should do next: Follow the solar rails. Planet by planet, quest by quest, the universe will open itself to you.
Good to have you, tenno.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117^^ True enough. I'm keeping my weapon count and such low enough that it shouldn't be an issue right now...just wondering for the eventuality (especially if I want to build new Frames). Still, got a few relics...maybe I should get more from survival missions and such after a few more progression (finally clearing out Venus and Earth and drop some extractors and start doing Mars)...should I bother refining any of them yet or keep it until later?
Also, remember playing a survival map with some higher level players...stayed there for 30 minutes That was nuts mashing E lol

Give me cute or give me...something?BTW, I hear there's a Troper clan? Is it possible for me to join or something?
Give me cute or give me...something?The primary clan is jam packed.
I believe one of our overflows is open.
We really need a pop up that's like "Someone probably asked if there's a troper clan in the last 1d4 pages just go back" lol.

"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"PC Baro stock:
- Kavat sigil
- Kubrow sigil
- Electric 60/60 mods
- Prisma Angstrum
- Prisma Veritux
- Prisma Daedalus armour parts
- Redeemer Exilis skin
- Prisma arrows
- Zephyr Immortal skin
- Ki'teer Kavat armour
- Sands of Inaros BP
Mhh, maybe we should just update the trope page for when we're full and when we aren't. Only issue is, I won't kick people unless someone express interest in a spot, so it would just show as filled all the time. It's quite the quandary.
The sigils are actually sort of cool. Otherwise I had literally everything except the Prisma Arrows.
Yeah, they are! I'm farming duckhats for them and the Prisma Angstrum (even though I don't like it, but, y'know, MR fodder).
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundDevstream overview, where they introduced Codename: Vlad.
I rate his visual a solid 5/5, his kit a 2/5. I like the idea thematically, but it doesn't look particularly practical. I will be certain to give the Revenant a try whenever he is released.
Agree on visuals. Dood looks dope. As I've accustomed to expect from Thompson's designs.
The Sacrifice trailer has dropped onto You Tube and we are expecting a June release. For PC.
Also, use the promo code OLDFRIEND to get an Orokin tea set and 3-day Affinity booster on the website.
