Sometimes it's hard to believe people.

Was doing a game with two pugs to get the Eidolon. I used Oberon to take care of the lures, which worked fine in another hunt just minutes ago.

I lose the lures for some reasons (I legitimately have no idea what went wrong that time) and one of the PUG rage quit there then (forfeiting all the cores we had - the hunt was practically over) and the other pug gives me shit for "wasting his whole night" (we barely spent a few minutes on that Teralyst) and "trying something new". Some people need a chill pill honestly.

So, wow.... just downloaded this on PS 4 (As my main machine has got too many games installed on it plus is in a crowded room so no real play space...) and... yeah I'm impressed.

Only been playing three days, already picked up a few blueprints and used creds in the market to get a few more. Now just grinding for rhino parts and relics. Still haven't got a handle on all the systems per se and trying to work out a good combo of weapons. Seeing some higher level players rocking some really freaky abilities.

Defense mission on earth - a guy running in circles. He has a huge AO ability or weapon or something - yellow orbiting arrows. Instakills all the low-level Grineer charging in. I maybe get 10 kills overall. He just basically runs the perimeter killing everything.

I'm looking up stuff on Youtube and the Wiki to get a handle on things, barely into Mars so clearly a way to go before I get any real ability to grind resources / blueprints / relics.

From here, any recommendations on gear? I'm still not 100% comfortable with abilities, relying more on gunplay and melee. Excalibur is a good starter I'm finding. I have a Bratan MK 1 as my rifle (Going to upgrade to a Grineer AR), a Lato pistol (Nearly upgraded) , the Kai knives and the Corvus sword.

Also, scanning is a real pain I'm finding.

Don't worry about scanning until you get Helios, then let it do the scanning for you.

[up][up] yeah have helios. Maxed out, but I'll be damned if I'm swapping him out yet. Just the fact you still have to keep things alive long enough to actually scan them is a bit of a pain....

And yeah, the Corpus are annoying, with the whole shields thing. Their drones annoy the HECK out of me.

Got some good Prime blueprints.... now just need the drops from void events I suppose...

Sounds like you bumped in Ember. Her ultimate is World On Fire; constant fire explosions with immense energy sustainability when modded up. Really, I can say either one of these things:

If you like veteran players getting you through game and darting right to end game (whatever that may be), you will love Ember. She is very common, helping newbies everywhere by safely cruising them through somewhat rough early game.

If you enjoy going through games on intended pace and with equally powerful teammates facing against enemies of apropriate strenght, you better get some lube in anticipation for that butthurt cuz Ember is very common. She will turn her 4 on and she will delete entire mission of any enemy presence. And despite the fact that she doesnt even need rest of the team to dominate star chart.

As for corpus shield ospreys, if you're annoyed by them, you better make generous offering to gods, before running in scorch ospreys, nullifiers, bursas and modular corpus.

[up] and [up][up] Oh bugger. I spoke too soon didn't I?

That ember was useful for defence, but I can tell keeping up will be a pain later. Trying to get the hang of combos, movement and the general flow whilst ploughing through missions. And to see which frames may end up my sort of style. Got the Archwing quest nearly ready to go. But clearly I can't do the Kubrow incubator one as I need to get to Orokin rifts.

I think that's the issue with joining now - all the content is THERE but not paced out so I'm just unlocking the maps bit by bit, then will do missions as I can.

I think Ember may be something to grind for later, just so I can farm. So far, this game has really hooked me. More so than Destiny 1 or 2 (Which were fun, but got repetitive massively quickly) - this the repetition is clearly baked in, but it's just s EASY to drop in, and quick to load....

[up] Warframe is a funny thing, pace-wise. If you were here for all the past 4 years, the new content and quests are easy to follow and are logical in their order.

But DE sort of fucked up a few continuity aspect here and there... See one boss who simultaneously have 3 different state.

Oh? You thought I meant Alad V? No, I was thinking of Vor, Corrupted Vor, Tagteam Vor with war hero Lech Kril.

MRW I finally realised the many ways you can cheese with Volt's passive (at least here in the beginning tiers).

How exactly does Twitch Prime work? Do I have to give them CC info? Is this easy to cancel? I got all these messages in my inbox for free prime shit and I am sorely tempted.

Just make sure that if you have a Twitch account that you link it to your Warframe account and then you just watch people who play warframe, you should receive a notification about it.

No, THAT I already did. Got a cape, a weird ass decoration for my ship, and a Latron. (OK weapon, but semi-auto, so I got it to 30 and sold it.) I'm talking about the "get a Twitch Prime account, get prime weapons and frames" thing.

[up] Yeah I'd be interested in that too. I mean the marketplace is practically shrieking at me to do it but no real idea if that means I have to become a streamer or what...

Also, got the Archwing.... and now I'm in an Anime Mecha game, or an episode of Knights of Sidonia.

Ridiculously fun.

Now I just need to work out how to equip a sigil and think about levelling a faction. Whilst ploughing through the quests. Then learning how to farm plat. Oh god.... I'm addicted.

"Twitch Prime" means you have an Amazon Prime account and link your Twitch to it. There is no additional cost. If you don't have Amazon Prime, you can sign up for the 30 day free trial and use that to get the freebies then don't renew the trial.

[up][up] You don't have to be a streamer, you just have to watch streamers. Get a normal Twitch account, link it to your Warframe account, then watch certain approved streamers (there's a list) play the new Warframe expansion. If the streamer clears certain hurdles (playing for an hour, surviving one night in the wild, etc) you get free stuff.

[up][up][up] Sigils are equipped on Warframes, you have to go in the appearance menu, then "Regalia" and choose the syndicate's sigil to put either on the front or back of your Warframe.

[up] I've used the Prime free trial for Twitch Prime: I forgot to unsub after getting my freebie, so I canceled after a payment had been taken from my CC on my Amazon account. Upon asking for cancellation of the service, I was immediately reimbursed even though I didn't actually ask for that yet. All around, the free trial is pretty safe I would say.

Make yourself a reminder to cancel your Prime membership before the trial end and you are gucci.

[up] It scratches a space schmup feel. Not top down, ful l3d, but a bit more fun. Yeah, you land in a high level area then it's a LOT less fun. But right now it's a gimmick than is interesting.

Thanks for the advice on the Sigils... will try to work it all aaaaaht.

If you're about to farm syndicates, here's something of interest. Especially in tips section you can check how many syndicates can be leveled simultaneously.

Wish I'd seen that graphic a long time ago. Perrin, Loka and Red Veil. They need to change the graphic in game so it gives you a better idea of who stands with who.

ION.......I'm scared.

Took Frost Prime out for a test drive (why is a cold-themed Warframe black?) and during the landing craft loading screen, a chat window pops up. And all I get are odd squiggles. Like someone desperately needed to talk to me, but they only spoke Sanskrit. And I can't read Sanskrit.

I'm scared. Should I be scared? Because I'm scared.
