Yeah, the 2-3 trigger pulls to kill a level 15 Grineer was when it was fresh off the foundry.
No idea of what is going on.Yeah, pure damage is the way to go with the Tiberon. Shred works very nicely on it, too.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundShred works nicely on almost everything.
Specially the Opticor.
Inter arma enim silent legesSo, having a bit of a problem deciding on slots for my Tonkor. Right now I have Serration, Split Chamber, Vital Sense, Point Strike, Critical Delay, and Heavy Caliber as permanent, but the last two slots are stuck between three mods: Firestorm, Adhesive Blast, and Hammershot.
Tonkor has low blast radius as one of it's downsides, so Firestorm would give it greater Ao E abilities, Adhesive blast boosts damage and is less penalizing of imperfect shots, since the rockets won't fly off if I barely miss a target, and Hamemrshot boosts damage by an even greater amount. So it's not entirely clear what is the best combination to go with. Anybody have any insight on this?
Forget about Hammer Shot. It hasn't been cool since time even before I joined.
On unrelated note: we lost this shit. I could take loss as a mature man and move on. Instead I'll point out that greedy milk was in lead at the time when poll had to end, but it kept going up until mabel juice got miniscule lead and poll suddenly stopped. Since victory could have translated in to rare core alert or something similar, there is only one rational response: revenge. Vote Nuka-Cola!
How much does Firestorm increase the blast radius by? If it's significant, or if you're focusing on AOE, then imperfect shots aren't something to worry about anyways because they could still be hit by the edges.
Basically, my stance is: If you want to clear a room, then go Hammer Shot and Firestorm. If you you want to deal big damage, Hammer shot and Adhesive.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Firestorm does buff up the blast radius nicely, but the shots don't explode unless they make direct contact, and if they don't make direct contact, they tend to bounce much, much farther than any blast radius could make up for.
So yes, hit the enemy and everyone around him dies, but just graze him and no one dies. It's the main reason I'm torn in the first place, since the damage buff isn't as big as Hammershot. And speaking of...
What's wrong with Hammershot exactly? It's still one of the better nightmare mods, and so far as I know hasn't suffered any nerfing.
I don't have much issues with missed shots using Firestorm, the amount of collateral damage of missed shots is hilarious when one of the shots ends up killing enemies you didn't even know were there.

Inter arma enim silent legesPutting on elemental or bane mod will give you comparable or greater damage. Tonkor has only 10% status chance, so, if you want to proc with it, you're better of with dual elemental mods. If you forgo status build, Hammer is left with only 60% damage, which is nice, but not min-max.
Anyhow, Tonkor is crazy damaging on its own. You'd better reduce reload or increase magazine or something like that. Quality of life will help you far more than moar deeps.

Hammer shot is and always will be a fantastic mod and you must be on drugs or something. #Hammer Shot 4 Lyfe
but HOW?Fair points, I guess I'll try without hammershot for a while and see if I really do miss the damage. Although I can't help but laugh at the "increase magazine size" recommendation. I should use a mod slot to put Tonkor at a whopping 3 shots per mag instead of 2?
EDIT: In hindsight I should've actually tested Adhesive Blast on Tonkor before debating it's use. The mod removes Tonkors explode on impact trait, so the grenades only go off after a several second delay. Sure, they can stick to enemies directly, but the delay means no improvement on hitting things. If anything it's like a worse version of Penta with that mod. Not sure what DE was thinking making a mod with a hidden effect like that.
In other news, new syndicate guns, new sentinel, and suddenly I feel shortchanged to be in Arbiters and Suda.

TBH I just go Crit mods, Serration, Split Chamber, Heavy Caliber, and elemental damage mods on my Tonkor. Currently saving Forma to get Critical Delay on it.
No idea of what is going on.I'm pretty darn happy this morning.
I got to buy two Sanctigris, and sell one for 130 plat while the other will become my personnal PREE-UH-ZED 7 star Sanctigris.
Who's laughing at New Loka for being hippies NOW, nerds?!
Arbiters5evah
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundI never saw New Loka as hippies but as genocidal purity obsessed extremists with a new age look.
Inter arma enim silent leges...Oh? The Syndicate Primaries are out on PC it seems? Any thoughts on them from anyone with them?
No idea of what is going on.Aside from genocidal, I don't see the difference.
Well, I just found out that Syndicate Primaries apparently need MR 12 to use. And have 3 polarities.
No idea of what is going on.All of them are straight upgrade except Vaykor Hek, which is naturally pitted against the normal Hek with the excessively strong "Scattered Justice" mod. Telos Boltor is not an upgrade to Boltor Prime however.
Is it a sidegrade, or a downgrade?
The only faction I'm at a high enough level for is Cephalon Suda(And almost Arbiters if I could get that fucking Bo Prime handle), but I'm not sure how I feel about the Simulor as a weapon.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. It is hardly useful, by the time you manage to stack enough shots do deal any decent damage the Grineer are already shooting you to bits, the Corpus still has a lot of ranged units and it gets slightly more useful against the Infested if you're planning to do corridor defense.
Inter arma enim silent legesHmm.
Weeeell I'll have a while before I'm able to start training a new weapon anyways; just started on the Tonkor. Not sure if I want to potato it. It seems fun so far, but that bounce mechanic is more frustrating that I first thought. Is there any way to reduce the detonation time on the grenades?

Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Vaykor Hek is a sketchy sidegrade, Telos Boltor is a downgrade to Boltor Prime but an upgrade to Boltor.
I hear that Synoid Simulor is actually very handy and base!Simulor is an unyieldy gimmick gun. I am currently leveling it but have no strong feelings yet.
My clan leader and his brother consider New Loka to be the Warframe equivalent of Scientology.
I just go for the Nazi comparison because of the ethnic cleansing vibe they've got going.
but HOW?
Yeah 5% crit chance is pretty pathetic, it's usually the value devs gives to weapons that aren't meant to be crit weapons. You'd need at LEAST 10% before I even consider thinking of it as a crit weapon.
Over 60 shots that deal 1 damage each, you'll get a 12 damage increase from the 20% bullets that crit (12 bullets that deal 24 damage instead of 12).
With an elemental mod instead (or more actually, since you would need more than one crit mod to get anywhere) that add 60 damage, you get 96 damage overall, as opposed to 72 with 20% crit chance.
There really is no contest here.
