Well, after a few days got all the Nova Prime parts I sought. Got helm on my first try, and I got main BP and chassis for free from another player after we tried getting one of the Nova parts several times with no luck, and bought the Systems for Plat. I guess I really wanted to get that Nova Prime quickly. >_>

Though now another thing I wonder about. Weapons. Mainly Primary and possibly Secondary weapons. Ever since the changes to damage, I'm a bit unsure on what weapon I could get as a good all-around weapon that won't suck on higher levels.

Surprisingly enough, the old Brakk I got from the Gradivus Dilemma event is holding really well despite the changes to damage. It still manages to be decent.

As for melee, I think I might have fallen in love with the Nikana. Already got it to 30 and going to make the Dragon Nikana out of it. It helps that I managed to buy the Blind Justice stance(the one from Stalker) for 10 plat from another player. :)

[up] Depends on your tastes of mechanics. If you can't deal with travel time for bullets, explosives, rifles or shotguns, the type of mission... All Prime weapons are effective and varied enough to find something that fits your tastes, though around half the market and clantech weapons are worth a try.

Hrumph. So I've been doing some spy missions lately to try and get a few mods(Pistol ammo mutation and Frigid blast specifically, though I wouldn't say no to any old element/status mod). Specifically I've been doing T3 Corpus ones. As far as I've seen, there are three rooms that crop up:

A) A square room with the server cordoned off in the center. 1-2 guards patrol the perimeter, and room opposite one another contain cameras. The player must pass through these rooms, enter the vents, and enter the server room from above.

B) Two long hallways full of laser grids, plus one camera at the start. If the player trips a trap a defense turret will also activate. Vents may spawn around the two halls, but will never take the player all the way down one or the other. The player simply has to dodge all the lasers and make it through the two halls, then hack the panel to enter the server room.

C) At the start of the room the player chooses from one of two vents. From there, they travel to the upper level and must navigate a series of beams until they reach the server room, with many rooms in between containing cameras or have laser grids just below the beams. There are also several enemies patrolling, though they don't seem to enter the server room unless beckoned.

I wouldn't know, because I cannot get through room C undetected. There is, consistently a laser grid right on the floor. Oh sure, there's a hack panel I can use to turn it off - on the gridded floor.

A? Cakewalk. Kill the guards, pop the camera, time your run through the intermittent laser doors. All it takes is patience. If you're feeling lazy, then Switch-teleport across the room without waiting for cameras.

B? Even easier. Just switch-teleport down both halls.

But god damn I just don't know how I'm supposed to do C without tripping those lasers. I've tried switch-teleporting down onto the floor, making sure to place my doppelganger between the lines, but it just doesn't work. I always make it out with the data, 'cause I'm right there and it's just one hack, but still. It'd be nice to be able to get through with no alerts whatsoever.

Does anybody know a way through? The best alternative I can think of is Limbo - when he's rifted he doesn't trip the Laser Wires, so he can breeze through that and B, but it makes stealthing the level overall that much harder.

I've done many Spy missions with Nova, making use of her Wormhole to bypass several things, like a door covered in lasers for instance.

Plus Molecular Prime and Antimatter Drop together can be used for blowing up stuff through walls.

Certainly a useful option to bear in mind for when I do get her, but the issue more at hand is that there are laser right where I need to be, and no way to turn them off, to my knowledge, except in a place where they already are. So no amount of travel, power is really gonna help me with that.

I was more asking if someone knows a way to turn the damnable thing off from outside the lasers, or if there's some way of getting around them.

[up] Normally there's a hacking panel outside the room that controls these.

90% of the time it's right in front of the entrance for me, but I think it can spawn in a room in the back of the tile (with the entrance being the front).

Aaaah, I thought that might be the case. I'll have to actually look down at some point then, and get used to taking out those patrols too. Thank you.

AFAIK Tier 3 Corpus only have patrols in one room (A), The guys you see in C are regular enemies that followed you in.

BTW, Limbo makes Corpus Spy ridiculously easy since lasers don't affect you in the rift plane.

Reports are coming in about a new and mysterious threat lurking in the Tenno's shadows.

Tenno,

We’ve received reports that a suspicious being has been spotted in Missions across the Solar System.

A mysterious figure has been lurking in the shadows, watching Tenno as they proceed through Missions. Security cameras have caught this figure trailing Tenno on Jupiter, Eris and Europa — with reports of new locations being added by the hour.

It is unknown whether this figure is a threat. It has been exhibiting the strange behavior of re-stocking lockers, crates and storage containers with Health and Credits once Tenno have cleared the area. For the meantime, it is requested that you stay alert and report any strange behavior near storage containers.

Beware and proceed with caution, Tenno. The Stocker is among us.

Behold, the Stocker's confirmed visual.

[up][up]I'll bear that in mind. The enemies always seem to be right there when I trip the alarm, but I guess it likely just spawn them. Also, A has more patrols if I've tripped the alarm in C before. Sometimes even a eximus in the server room.

And yeah, I know that Limbo goes through Corpus Lasers unaffected. The trouble is that he lacks invisibility(The lazy mans stealth!) So he's not as convenient otherwise.

[up]Well. This should be fun. I'm guessing he'll drop good loot if we can catch him.

Update 16.2!

Main additions:

  • New augment mods.
    • Volt's new augment makes him convert 3 % of his Overload damage into shields for his teammates.
    • Valkyr's new augment increases her Warcry duration based on melee kills.
    • Nova's new augment gives a speed boost to allies (and herself) after going through Wormhole.
  • New Nova and Nekros noggles.
  • New colour picker based on the Orokin.
  • Unstuck command (!) that will prompt you into a proper bug report software after it's used. It has a 2 minute cool down and works only if you are alive.

Additionally there was some PVP balance as well as fixes and changes.

That Warcry augment is beautiful. And I don't have standing with Loka or Perrin. :_

[up][up][up] well keg, if you're going for the rewards only, then venus is probably your best bet, fastest spy out there, and rewards are exactly the same for every tier of spy missions, only affinity/dificulty really ganges. just gotta make sure you get 3 safe extractions and you're golden

Story time!

So, the other day there was an alert on the one place on Sedna I couldn't get to, so I grabbed my stealth gear (it was a Rescue mission) and went on in, thinking it'd be a routine mission.

Two rooms in, the G3 showed up.

Two minutes of cheesing from a low alcove with invisibility and a Paris Prime later, I had the last piece of the Brakk I needed. That's right- I solo'd the G3 and finished my Brakk by accident.

Rescuing the hostage went too as well, luckily. Which was good, because I couldn't get to evac without getting him out of his cell. I missed the alert, yeah, but at that point my reaction was firmly in "I ain't even mad" territory.

And yeah, Brakk kicks ass. Definitely one of the best secondaries in the game, although I'm not sure if it quite lives up to its reputation of being about five hundred kinds of BS. I'm certainly keeping it, although I get the feeling I'm probably gonna end up sticking to the Marelok and Wraith Twin Vivpers anyways.

but HOW?

@Kegi: Yes, tripping the alarm spawns multiple enemies in the vault. But, anyway, you don't need invisibility in the Corpus vaults because the cameras are always in the same place and it's really easy to Banish them to oblivion.
@GanonDerf: Wrong. Each Spy node has a particular event mod tied to it.

Yeah - Loamedia and Sao have a chance to drop the Ice/Status mods, which I'm after for my Shotgun(The Sobek - if I get its faction Mod I can get the status chance up to pretty close to 100%.

Hitscan explosion machine, baby. Don't matter how hard they hit if they can't stand up.

Which actually reminds me, Connely: What's your current faction? before I came upon the Sobek build I was gonna go for Perrin because they have more of the augment mods I want, but that'd obviously be... difficult, to reconcile with the Steel Meridian.

[up] As much range and efficiency as humanly possible. You can get one step further by adding Natural Talent to spam it faster. Aura is left to your choice but Energy Siphon is a safe bet. After that you can add power strength or survivability depending on if you want your abilities to be workable beyond Desecrate or not.

Slash weapons are prefered to cut bodies in half and harvest double the loot.

If you're in the right syndicate for it then Despoil/rejuvenation might be a more efficient way of going about. Especially since odds are you're gonna get more health globs than anything else.

Really though, I don't find myself having any energy problems with a siphon/flow setup, so I doubt it makes a huge difference.

@Kegi Hexis, Suda y yeah, Meridian. I can get you the Sobek mod, and if you can get me the Eternal War augment from Perrin then we got us a business.

Because even if you can't recast Warcry as much to slow enemies, I can see how this can be absolutely be worth a mod slot.

Sounds good, then.

It'll take me a fair while to actually get that far along in Perrin though, since I haven't started in it yet - I'm working through Cephalon Suda, about halfway to the final level. Got the Nova Prime helmet, though I'm kinda torn on whether I want to use it for Cephalon or building the actual Nova... I guess now I know it's in Survival 1 I can farm for it easily enough with Nekros.

Does it? Did two runs last night and didn't see it.

Then again, that's two runs, which is a pittance in this game. Did 45 runs of Capture 4 and didn't see the Volt Prime blueprint.

Then did one last night and got it right off. Go figure. The universe has a sense of poetry, I suppose.

But anyways, Nekros is mostly because he makes the task that much easier('Cause there's no realy need to ever get one of the life support pods), and more profitable while I'm there. If I'm gonna be hard-farming enemies for 20 minutes, I may as well have something to show for it no matter what happens, right?
