It's name is Onorix and it is big.

I'm talking about archwing axe. Eh, would prefered to see sword. Or Limbo. Yeah, that would be nice. Limbo is only frame I remember, who has stayed obscured to the last moment.

[up] We're not quiiiiiite at the last moment yet. That would be tuesday or wednesday in the morning. Admitting U15 is this week.

[up][up] Nearly forgot to mention the ethical aspect: So many people typed in really quickly "inv", thinking it would be enough to made it in, but got ignored and disregarded by others.

One dude in particular thought he was so witty by saying that the solution was "NEKROS" and it was all I needed. I nearly felt bad when he added "come on man, just invite me". You cannot math, fuck the right off.

Oh... if it's that way... I understand. I guess I'll be on my way. No, no, there is no, uh, need to say goodbye. I know when I'm unneeded. I'll just find some hole and ponder my useless, mathless life.

TLDR: I'm more of a humanities than exact guy.

Well if you can't solve something as simple as 5 + 4 * 7, you can take solace in the fact that this makes you eligible to be the first person ever banned from both clans at once!

In other news, here's an official overview of Devstream 39. It's basically a rehash of what we know already, but it confirms that the Void Trader is not ready yet.

More than you'd think!

I had to turn down about 5 or 6 PUG per attempt because they didn't answer or forgot the proper priority system.

[up][up][up] does that mean we'll be able to make any frame use any iddle?, even mixing parts of diferent stances? (like, for example, give a noble stanced banshee nekros's agile throwing knife iddle).

[down]that'd be hilarious, and it'd fit those pink rhinos you see from time to time so much; fabulous rhino ftw! XP

[up] But that's the easy one everyone will have, we need to be hipsters as much as humanly possible!

Completely randomly I stumbled on a post on Reddit, retelling one of the convention where a couple of Tenno met with Steve and the rest. Random trivia ensued:

Secrets of the Lotus

As the night went on, we learned a few interesting Lotus tidbits, and had quite a few goofy moments! Here are some of those hijinks from the Lotus!

Orokin Knowledge

The Lotus revealed some great trivia and hidden facts about Warframe. Here are some of the biggest mind-bombs we heard:

  • Rebecca writes some dialogue for the Lotus
  • Rebecca was chosen as Lotus due to lack of staff and placeholder VA. Statements like "Oh my god, go left!" were used to pitch the idea of a Lotus guide. When it was time to produce more dialogue, Rebecca was asked to continue. And the legend of the Valley Girl Lotus began.
  • Rebecca started as an intern at Digital Extremes in the Community department, where most interns work
  • Rebecca and Sheldon dueled in Magic: The Gathering to determine the fate of Kubrows. If Rebecca won, all Kubrows could be "consigned to the Lotus." If Sheldon won, presumably puppy blender! The Lotus is 007!(Marc's note: Money quote of the QA. We own the Kubrow consignment to Rebecca winning a Magic duel)
  • The Lotus may be 2000 years old! And presumably immune to alcohol, or so she claims.
  • Grineer alphabet was created as an AR-game gimmick for the Closed Beta signups of Warframe! If you hovered over the center, the text would be replaced with Grineer font. Few people deciphered the message (which was "Grineer Systems.com"), but the font would later be used in assets themselves and define the Grineer as a race
  • Did you know the Tenno have a font? Those fancy etchings in Orokin Towers, on Warframes, and even the symbol below "Founder" on the Founder's Exclusive T-Shirt are hidden messages, and no Tenno has yet to decipher the script! (Marc's note: I've known that for quite a while - hipster glass on -)
  • The next Prime is "Rebecca's favorite" (Marc's note: That's Nyx Prime, don't get excited)

Steve also had some insight into ideas behind Warframe:

  • Warframe originally started as a pitch/tech demo for their new IP, Dark Sector. Unfortunately, every publisher they talked to wanted them to pursue another angle. For example, one stated "your engine is great, you should make a civil war game!" (Marc's note: That sounds like a great idea, no one did that before... right? /s)
  • With a lack of publisher interest and waning funds, DE had to curb to publisher demand and repurposed Dark Sector into the game it ultimately became. Michael Rosenbaum, tho! (Marc's note: So that's why they bent the knee at first to publishers.)
  • When projects failed to generate revenue, the company experienced massive layoffs and the verge of bankruptcy. Steve realized old assets for Dark Sector were still on servers, so in a last attempt, the remaining team worked to create the game they envisioned almost a decade ago. (Marc's note: Spoiler alert, it's Warframe. Also, shit, I didn't know they almost went bankrupt)
  • That game is Warframe. (Marc's note: Called it) The contribution of Founders, fans, and gamers was a profit surge, bringing the company back from the brink. (Marc's note: Founder?! That's me!)
  • So do 75% or Plat discounts hurt DE? Not any more! So many people buy Platinum, DE just needs to ensure there's a good reason to do so. Example mistake; no one bought Oberon for plat when he was easy to farm. (Marc's note: You mean people didn't use plat on easily acquired items? I call bullshit /s)

Update 15 and the Future of Warframe (Marc's note: Very near future as of this post)

There were many questions asked of Steve before and after the faux Live-stream. Here are some of his off-the-record answers!

  • Why has Focus system taken so long? "Balance issues! We had to prevent power creep. We need this system to work with existing powers, not replace them entirely." (Marc's note: I tend to agree with that delay)
  • Where did Archwing come from? We noticed the Mag Prime lore entry! "Yeah! We've had it in our heads for a while and teased Arcwing in that loreIt was based off the long-requested "space battles" suggestion, but with a more Japanese twist. It was inspired in part by Robotech/Space Harrier. There will most likely be an event to accompany the Arcwing's debut." (Marc's note: They were planning ahead.)
  • I want more bars to fill! More stuff! "Proxy Wars! Gaining reputation with different factions might yield lucrative rewards." (Marc's note: Syndicates)
  • GOLEM WILL RETURN; Grineer Galleon-sized monster that must be fought with ARCHWING! (Marc's note: That was a big reveal at the time, or so I understand)

See comments in bold from your truly.

[up] interesting, believe it or not i didn't know gollem was gonna be fought with archwings, and the rest of the info is pretty interesting too.

i DID, however, know about the whole ordeal with dark sector and it's excecutively meddled origins, and how that lead to eventually making warframe, didn't know DE nearly went bankrupt though.

oh and the tenno font, i knew that too, then again i guess anyone who's seen the wiki does; btw the wiki does have a cypher for the tenno font, though it calls it "orokin language", maybe 'cus some rooms in the void have writings in it too.

[up] the part about DE being bankrupt at the time is the interesting thing here, I think it is common knowledge that Dark Sector was a spawn of Executive Meddling.

As for Golem, I think Steve mentioned in livestreams (original flavor) that it was going to be an archwing fight.

EDIT: Apropos of nothing, did you guys know you could get the WEBM for Nyx's prime page? See here. It's a rather big file, don't open with your smartphone's data if you have a cap... You have to right click > "loop" manually.

Update of the teaser site, we now know what the Syndicate's representants look like:

I find the Red Veil's look unsettling, after their very first introduction as defenseless prisoners.

My head says it's canon, so it must be so.

If serious, maybie Stalker and Red Veil share theme of vengeance and some artist decided to emphasize it.

Well at first I thought she (he?!) looked a lot like Bastet Valkyr or Storm Volt, or a mix of the two. I can see the connection with Stalker but it wasn't the first one I made, shockingly.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were buddy-buddy. I mean, Stalker must be having a raging boner about killing anything that isn't an Orokin. Or anything.

Also, someone made a compilation of pictures of leaders. For all of you that can't open videos.

As for myself, I am starting to slowly form an opinion on which syndicates interests me (or not):

Interest: New Loka (I heavily suspect they have mods catering to Broberon and I love myself some purity), Arbiters of Hexis (I love myself some transcending warriors), Cephalon Suda.

No strong feelings one way or the other: Meridian of Steel, Perrin Sequence.

Already hating them: Red Veil (I'm meh toward the faction by itself, but everyone going "Hail the Veil!" everywhere are making me discover an hatred I didn't know I had).

[up] i personally like cephalon suda and the arbiters of hexis the most, i'm kinda fond of the steel meridian too, with their protecting the colonies, they seem pretty honorable despite( or maybe because?) their guerrilla methods.

i'm pretty much neutral towards the perrin sequence, though my suspicions darvo is part of them may change that.

not so sure about the new loka, on one hand, they want to restore earth and humanity, but they seem like they are against the veyr existance of the altered humans, calling them corrupted and all that, which seems very close minded(specially considering both forms exist in an at least good intentioned faction as both the corpus and grineer deserters), not to mention trying to preserve humanity as it was thousands of years ago would limit it's evolution, i mean i get being agaist the infested, as the technocite compleatly messes you up and turns you into a hive-minded monstruosity, but the corpus/grineer kinds of humans don't seem to be inherently bad, just diferent.

the red veil i'm very disapointed on, they seemed to be protectors at first, with how they said they were helping the colonies, we knew from the old "plans for 2014" thred that they were likelly to be assasins, but it seemed like they would be something like a cult of truely honorable assasins, tactical, precise, keeping balance from the shadows, maybe with a creed; but it looks like they are going the crazy terrorist route, seeing corruption everywere and killing everything in their way, without measuring concequences, they say they are "honor-bound" but they don't seem honorable to me.

speaking of infested, who else thinks there should be some crazy technocite-worshiping cult/sect that none of the other syndicates really likes, but some(like say, cephalon suda, 'cus enormous potential source of knowledge) are mostly neutral towards?(of course, the new loka would be dead-set against them)

Eh, my current opinions (if anyone cares):

Steel Meridian - they're pretty much friendly Grineer. Not much to say. Granted I'm fascinated with their representives inability to wipe nose.

Arbiters of Hexis - if by "more than warriors" they mean gods, I give them [tup].

Cephalon Suda - I hope well get really good supernatural feel from this thing. Otherwise it's just big computer.

The Perrin Sequence - same as Steel Meridian. Only Corpus. And led by grandma.

Red Veil - dressed after most fashionable vengeful lunatic. Only syndicate known to be bad right from start. I'm still not sure if Cantis is boy or girl (though I prefer to think girl). They have been distressed and escorted by us many times over. They're no good for hipsters. There is no shortage of reasons to dislike these guys.

New Loka - I imagine they grow their own weed. No synthetic shit.

[up] new loka mods:

weed smoke: makes frame slopy, but also projects a huge stinking cloud that keep enemies at bay.

canabis: makes frame all relaxed and limber, causes slopy movement but grants crazy avoidability (that means your hitbox gets smaller/thinner)

purple kush. same effect as canabis, but adds even slopier movement, accelerates everything the frame does a bit, decreases max stamina a bit, and makes everything look like some sort of acid trip.

new loka, your #1 source of "natural" mods.

Well now I got to get my opinion out there to.

The Steel Meridian: Eh, they seem to be playing the "bad guys turned good" role. Look alright thogh.

The Arbiters of Hexis: Look and sound like a bunch of Tenno worshipers. Might check on them, but not a priority. [tup][tup]

The Cephalon Suda: *bleep* yeah, I love me some chaos in this grey & black universe.[tup][tup][tup]

The Perrin Sequence: As a Volt player I'm against anything related to corpus. Too weak. Would love me some pet MOA's though.

The New Loka: Going to the Netherlands AGAIN? [tup]

The Red Veil: Considering my country of origin and the "Hail Red Veil" posts I'm pretty much dead set on destroying them. With lots of lightning. And expolsions.

Also: Not legal over here. Unless you're not getting cought or it's your last wish.
