Bitching. I've heard some shit about this game - like one of the students having a crush on Professor Pisces - and I can't wait to see if any of it's legit.

Fish hitting on Link is a longstanding tradition, not to be contained by any single year.

Also, given that the LWA game came out last year, I think we've just determined that 2017 was the year of fish romance.

Okay, so, Little Witch Academia is now officially my all-time favorite TV show. And I haven't even finished the series yet. (I'm taking it very slowly to make it last. I'm on episode 21, but I know some endgame spoilers.) I didn't think anyone would ever dethrone The X-Files by this point, but here we are.

I have to say, though, I really hate that Lotte and Sucy were essentially written out of the second half of the series. I love Akko to bits and pieces but I really miss the other two, especially Lotte who is kind of my favorite. Two of my three favorite episodes focus on her (the one about Night Fall and the one where they visit her parents).

Anyway, I made some fan works I'm pretty proud of that I thought you guys might enjoy. The first is a chapter of a reader-insert fanfic I'm working on. Nothing romatic, just a goofy little adventure. Plus I followed Karolara's advice to make the story more appealing/enjoyable.

Yeah, Lotte and Sucy being sidelined outside a focus episode or two rubbed a fair number of people the wrong way. Same with Green Team, to a lesser extent.

Have you seen the OVAs too, or was the show your first exposure?

Where did this "red team" "blue team" "green team" terminology come from?

The colors of their hat bands and sashes. The students in the academy are divided into color-coded covens.

I did see the OVAs. I'm not a suuuper huge fan of the first, but I adore Enchanted Parade.

Re: the other teams, I like Amanda and Constanze but Jasminka kinda creeps me out. And I honestly think I like Hanna and Barbara (as characters if not as people) more than I like Diana.

I mean, Diana is okay but out of all the main characters, I think she's the least interesting.

A problem is that the show forgot to give most anyone any kind of arc except for Akko and Diana.

I think maybe the episode where Akko goes inside Sucy's brain should have come later. Showing that after all that happened, Sucy actually secretly likes Akko and meeting her is one of her fond memories. For example.

I feel like Jasna should have gotten more to do, say, and be.

I agree. And maybe a dub actor that didn't sound like her mouth was full all the time. For example.

In fairness, her mouth likely is full a lot of the time - which is just an example of how she got shortchanged.

So what I'm hearing here is that this show needs another season to give everyone more spotlight.

I think she was supposed to be kind of like the fat guy from Disney's Mulan (I forget his name). A super chill person to contrast Amanda's boisterousness and Constanze's intensity. If the three of them had gotten a good and proper Day in the Limelight, that setup would've probably had a great payoff,

As it stands, she's just kind of... there. In a vaguely off-putting way.

And maybe explore some of the other groupings. There are so many little witches at this academia.

I think it's better that that episode came earlier on, to take the bite out of all the attempted murder.

Whats a little attempted murder between friends?

This would have been another good way to get to know more about Sucy and her outlook.

There'd be a good reason to have her come visit too.

Sucy said that her initial plan was to get the cockatrice feather and leave. If she told her parent or guardian that she was probably going to be right back and then didn't right back, Momcy might have come to investigate.

Isn't Sucy an orphan? Wasn't she abandoned as a baby? With a bottle of poison?

Unrelated: another character I would've loved to see more of is Wangari.

Re second season: The director has reportedly expressed interest in doing one, and specifically mentioned wanting to go into Amanda and Diana's backgrounds.

In the meantime, the game's supposed to be a gold mine of side character exploration, so that'll have to tide us over.
