I would like some references from The Trojan Cycle.
A villain based on Odysseus would be great.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. It'd be another reference though, since Pyrrha's a bit of an opposite-sex version Achilles.
...but I now want a beastmaster huntress based off Circe.
Oh yeah. The connection was so flimsy that I actually forgot about that one.
I was thinking, if Pyrrha gets defeated, it would be because of her ankle injury (I'm not even convinced that she has a tendon)...but that would be too darn blatant.
On the other hand, seeing how she is wearing that stupid heel the whole time, that would be inevitable.
Rule of Stylish and all, but I still can't get over Blake and Pyrrha wearing heels. At least with skirt it doesn't restrict your movement (and for the modesty issue, you can just wear shorts underneath).
I mean yeah, what would this series be without all those artistic licenses, but still.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Yang's hair would never not be in her eyes.
Which would actually probably kinda work out since that could piss her off.
We could do with a Hector.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.So a match to Pyrrha.
I'd imagine since Pyrrha's much nicer than Achilles, her match would have to be a self-absorbed dick.
So basically Cardin?
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here? He's obvious not a match though.
I dunno if Cardin has the same excessive pride...
Yeah, Cardin has a bully's pride. "I'm stronger than you, and I'll lord it over you until you prove to be stronger than me, at which point I'll run away like a little girl." An arrogant Hector (or a more traditional Achilles, for that matter) would be more justifiably arrogant. "I'm going to beat you. I feel no need to argue the point; I am going to beat you."
He certainly admitted he's got no chance against Pyrrha in Forever Fall 2 (which, as we all know, turned out to be absolutely right). I don't think that makes to the pride one would get with "I am literally invincible aside from my ankle".

Random rambling.
Ah...RWBY Nightmare Fuel page.
I still don't find any of the entries remotely NF inducing, but at least now the remaining entries make tiniest bit of sense.
-sighs- I really want to Goliaths wrecking some stuff in future episodes, hopefully near ones.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Who's Cardin?
The dog.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. No, I like Cardin more than the dog.
Check out my fanfiction!Serious answer, the guy that picked on Velvet and Jaune.
How do I keep forgetting that guy's name?

Your brain didn't like him sticking around.
Working on a manga. With pictures! All feedback welcome!I still wanna know if his shockwaves in his fight against Pyrrha was Semblance, weapon or stylistic convenience.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Probably just his strength, which might be his Semblance. Or perhaps he projected his Aura outwards into an enhancement to his attack, which is a pretty cool technique.
On another note though, has anyone seen this? It's a fanmade crossover with Ace Attorney. I saw its Let's Play here and saw it was free to play so I'm gonna try it out later. The writing's pretty good and the characters are spot on too, so this is definitely worth a look.
Working on a manga. With pictures! All feedback welcome! So is it people in universe don't know what Pyrra's Semblacne is or they don't know the extent of its power? Also, just how good a fighter is she without using it?
They don't know, and she seems very capable without.
Feeling I get is that she mostly goes without it and uses it to give her a slightly greater margin of error; since it's subtle when she uses it, most people never figure out what it is. She figures that a weak power (not that it actually is weak, but she uses a light hand with it) that people don't know about gives a greater advantage than a strong power that's well-known.
Should've checked the list.My guess is that her use of her semblance in battle is being set up as her 'Achilles Heel'. Take that away and she 'can't' fight.
As in, I bet it would ruin her confidence. I can see her Semblance being taken away/blocked in some fashion before the Tournament, and suddenly Pyrrha stops winning. Jaune will prove what an excellent leader he is (since people have been saying from the beginning he's apparently got the potential for it) by rebuilding her confidence. She'll enter the tournament still without her Semblance, but will go on to prove she can still win even without it.
That's Volume 3 sorted... now for Volume 4.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. If a character lost their Semblance, should it be permanent or temporary?
Pretty sure he was just Jeanne D'Arc, but I suppose the knight part does have some overlap.
Egyptian mythology would definitely be neat. I suppose Horus would be an obvious place to start. Obviously, he'd use a spear
which is also a gun.edited 23rd Jul '15 4:13:15 PM by VutherA
