Even moreso when you consider that it's not just taking it up with the Brothers' manager. It's tattling to their mom.
It's like that Futurama episode
Fry: "So, he was all powerful to us, but in reality he was just a child"
Energy being parent: "Child? He's thirty seven!"

What's really sad is that he didn't even try to take that last shot after Cinder's pithy "checkmate" line.
C'mon, the guy didn't hesitate to gun down children, civilian politicians, subordinates, and defenseless prisoners (though that last one definitely had it coming), but gives up a shot at one of the actual villains?
Disgusted, but not surprisedDidnt matter anymore really.
So anyway I saw the epilogue.
In a way THIS feel the very "darkness" and gloom I expect of RWBY since freaking volume 3. You can see how students are dealing with and it feel a breaking point, it also take in account all complain we have before: That their plan while...ehh.. "better" than Ironwood it would create massive issues specially dropping two population who have being historically hating each other and all problems and then that ray of hope.
It feel weird taking about how they miss Jaune and Ruby and how much they inspired after seeing then in their lowest point in volume 9, even more for ruby who get the short end of the screentime in general.
Vale being wipe up does since to set this set of volume as the last one in a way to not return to it, I wonder if Glynda being "Gone" was always a plot point or just a way to not deal with her after the whole VA fiasco.
So Ozpin didnt know about everafter. got it.
Salem force since to be harm but right now it look pthy compared of what mankind have lose really, Salem can always rebuild her grimm and she can speand them easly and losing Emerald, Neo and Watts are minor setbacks to having two relics.
It a shame they didnt put this epilogue, it was good, very good in fact.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Okay having seen the full bonus thing now.
...Damn, so Salem really did just wipe out Vale. Jesus.
Honestly, I think Jax might have been one of the 2 freed? It looks like a girl and a boy to me, so maybe Jax's mind was just healed somehow.
The First manSo watching the epilogue it unsurprisingly doesn't give Psyga the vindication it claims it did, since it's made pretty clear that while things aren't perfect, they did over time settle into a fairly united people after initial tensions.
Anyway onto what I don't like. Honestly having Salem wipe out Vale is kind of stupid. They said V9 was meant to be the point where the pendulum starts to swing in the heroes direction, so completely undoing what the heroes fought for in the "Battle of Beacon" and rendering whatever silver lining they had there moot, is counter to that. It also doesn't really makes sense why Salem would waste her time on doing it. The Relic isn't there and Vale was crippled as an opponent for her, she would really have no reason to do so other than for the evulz. And as ruthless and cruel as Salem is, her actions are more driven by callous selfishness and spite towards an individual that wronged her. She only really does things to further her goals or get back at someone.
Anyway I've been thinking about Salem, I have to wonder if anyone has tried pointing out that her plan will never work. If the gods come back and destroy Remnant, that doesn't mean they will undo their punishment on her. He plan won't end her cursed existence, it will just result in her being completely alone for eternity.

To be fair, how many people know enough to even make that guess to begin with, and of that lot how many have had a conversation with Salem?
There is also the possibility that's not what she's actually after. That's just what Ozpin assumes she's after. Maybe she's planning on usurping the gods.
Salem might be aware that there's a chance the Brothers might not revoke her immortality even after wiping out Remnant. They left her alive the last time they wiped out humanity after all.
But she's so sick of living that she's willing to take the chance. That this means humanity being wiped out again means nothing to her since she already doesn't think of Post-Remnant humanity as real people anyway.

Disgusted, but not surprisedSalem attacked Vale for a few reasons. One, this way she gets to search the entire general area for the Crown of Choice. All she knows is that it wasn't in Beacon's Vault, but it might be somewhere else on campus or hidden in the city. Secondly, she needs to divide humanity to get the Gods to wipe them out, and a fast way to do that is to cause a refugee crisis. Three... Salem needs to get to Vacuo, and Vale is simply in the way of the path from Atlas. She has to pass through it to get to Vacuo, and the Grimm can't really go through somewhere without killing everyone there. So she has several reasons to attack Vale.
Tiiiick tock... goes the clock... and all the years....Posts criticising other tropers rather than discussing the work will get thumped. This is one of the basis forum rules.
If someone is derailing or negatively impacting the thread, holler them. Don't aim personal attacks at them.
I think the reason she atack vale aside of deny reinformed and getting more refugees which create more divisions which will atack more Grimm.
Very usefull strategy really.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Frankly I'm disturbed that Team RWBY didn't call the Justice League for help
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).They would but some kind of sucide squad kill them all....
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"It will never not be hilarious RWBY ends on a still shot of the Justice League.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. On their asses no less.
They're standing in that shot
REALITY IS AN ILLUSION, THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM, BUY GOLD BYEEEE! | She/HerThey did an update for the bonus animatic that adds some words from Yatsu. Its confirmed that it was Gill and Jax who were rescued, so Jax's mind was likely restored.
The First manI think they mean that the Justice League has their backs to the camera. (Though the way they worded it makes it sound like the movie ended with a close up shot of Batman's ass.)
That dream Ruby had in RWBY Chibi of herself meeting her canon self is something else.
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned. Are they still releasing volume 9 and beyond?
I'm wondering how Jax is going to fit in all this. A key point of his role in his book is that while he is a threat, his plans unravel pretty quickly once people actually know he's involved. Plus, the fact that Jax, you know, tried to kill her near the end of the book kinda makes me wonder how that partnership will continue. It's genuinely interesting avenues for the show to take, I wonder how they'll explore it.
Gillian is defined by her love for Jax, she threw away a life she wanted(Being a huntress) for the sake of helping Jax live out his dream of being royalty. I can totally see her forgiving him for what happened at the end of the book if he gives her a sincere enough sounding 'apology'.

The First man
It would be hilarious if the solution to the Salem problem is to get her to take it up with the brother’s manager
