Hopefully we'll be able to play Tower of Doom with all the extra moves (And classes) from Shadows of Mystara.
Also, a challenge room/survival mode would be nice!
I've been asking for it for years. Day one purchase.

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Downloading Vampire Ressurection as we speak.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Just like how I was rather hesitant to jump over Ducktales, I'm a little hesitant over this game.
They're taking the originals, slapping them together without anything new, and then selling them. I'm not even sure they'll allow you to play the Thief and Mage in Tower of Doom. Not exactly jumping for joy over this when it's a simple port. Though I will admit the online play is a sweet selling point.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation. It's a classic and widely beloved game. Why shouldn't they sell it as it is and, most importantly, how their customers will want it?
I'm able to get some classic games (well, not exactly them, but it's close enough) legally (when I can access PSN, that is). Two of which never even got a home console release in the first place. I don't see where the problem is.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.Wait, didn't this thread exist already? ._. Or did I just imagine that?
@ Kayeka: Mostly because that's all they're doing is sellling it as-is. I loved the original games, don't get me wrong. But I can't shake the suspicion of laziness and easy fan-pandering with this. Probably because I've played the classics many times already, so seeing it re-released doesn't fill me with fanboy glee.
But I'm willing to admit I'm a bitter, cynical old gamer, so don't put much stock in my ramblings on my rocking chair on the porch as I wave my cane.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation. You do realize importing the two new classes to the first game would be a non-trivial undertaking, right? The two games have different enough rule sets that you'd basically need to either remake the entire first game, or recreate the two classes from scratch. Just to hit the most obvious points, the Thief is built around using special maneuvers that don't exist in the first game, and the Magic-User is balanced around having a ton of spells that they wouldn't have at the levels the first game takes place at.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comHave they said you can play the thief and the magic user in Tower of Doom yet?
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation. It's no more lazy then an extra printing of a popular book. You think J.K. Rowling is lazy for not adding a bonus chapter to Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone every time that is being reprinted?

I really have something to say about that, but I shall withdraw my comment, as I do not wish to continue the disagreement. I apologize for my curmudgeony ways.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation. There is also that its not exactly easy to update old stuff and port them, at least when compared to reprinting
And again, its not like only old gamers are going to buy this...

This game is on steam so is it released on all platforms yet?
WTF steam?
Is it in that bullshit HD crap?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Is there something wrong with steam and HD?
And wasn't it going to be in HD regardless since its remake that combines the two games and releases them on Wii U, 360 and PS 3?
I just never liked a few of the presentation changes in 3rd Strike Online and Super Turbo HD Remix is all. But as long as it isn't doing anything stupid like non optional remixed visuals and music on the core game, that's fine.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.O-o Oookaaaaaaay
