Anybody remember this one by Di C? Probably should have stayed buried.

Be warned: Open a window, I'm microwaving sardines in this thread. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGqvjGXSjRQ (Intro) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v42eEKEv3YQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blY15D9ENiw

The best thing I can say about this is it had an excellent All Star Mexican dub.

I remember this...the "let's slap Tex Avery's name on something and hope it does well" seris. If I remember right, it was produced in France, where that tactic had a lot more hope of working, giving that he has a lot more name recognition over there...

Christ, why the hell does this even exist? Its nothing but a finger to the legendary cartoonist. I can't believe Tex's daughter approved of this crap!

[up] Sorry she can't hear you, she had dollar bills stuffed in her ears

If the show wasn't named after Tex, fewer people would hate it

I knew about this before Tex Avery's shorts

You have to admit, Tex Avery is a good name for a cowboy.

[up]Yeah, Tex does sound like a good name for a cowboy. Except its used as a bad example right here. Wasn't this a major case of Executive Meddling?

Me too, but not because I ever managed to watch the show, only because my siblings kept singing "Welcome to the wacky wack wack, wacky wacky wack wack, wacky wacky-" and it keeps going on like that!

It doesn't help that the song for the show is basically a different take of a classical song.

Yeah, now I'm worried that the next time I collect a star in Super Mario Land, I'll be thinking "WACK WACK WACKY WACKY WACK WACK WACKY WACKY WACK WACK WACKY WACKY WACKY WACKY WACKY WACKY"

Sad thing is, WB has YET to release a comprehensive DVD collection of Tex Avery's shorts. There's the Droopy collection, which also has, I think, most of the "Red" shorts (the ones that feature Droopy, anyway) but not his other MGM stuff. If it wasn't a Looney Tune, Merry Melody, Droopy, or Woody Woodpecker short, you ain't likely to find it.

Yeah, this was a major case of Executive Meddling. Someone posted on a blog about an animator who worked on the show criticizing on how bad it was working on it.
