For awhile I thought harping on the same things was just a joke Rob did that wasn't very funny. Got to say, knowing he's serious about it does make it more annoying.

Plus, my real jokes are Golgom Political statements / riots, posting pictures of what random comic characters think of things, and insult the Einzbern family....

I haven't done those last two for a while.

Anyway, rather than harping I'm me, I'm gonna save myself here by changing the subject.

I hope whatever Megumi does to beat this guy gives us a funny foodgasm. I want something real crazy, like her hitting him with a Hadouken.

But, regardless of Rob, Megumi is hard to take seriously. Characters like her are hard to take seriously even when they don't have shitty records, though.

For a *supposed* breather arc that's not meant to be taken seriously, this story is taking its sweet time to progress. A normal breather should have taken about 1 chapter, like the DEF kitchen segment.

Well, okay, there's the Mozuya mini-arc, but even that one was only 4 chapters long when it's all wrapped up. This one has barely finished introducing the basic plot after the same amount of chapters, and it doesn't seem to be ending soon.

Okay to be fair she did that as soon as we saw her new hairstyle.

Okay, the idea that four months is enough time to travel to a huge number of countries and totally "get them" is almost insulting. It's like the stuff your most annoying facebook friends says after going on a trip aboard once, but ten times worse.

Oh well, at least now we know how Megumi is still in Elite 10 - as soon as she got in, she darted out of the country so no one could challenge her. Pretty clever.

I think that's supposed to be a Megumi thing. Her talent is home and hospitality, so she's able to find the different meanings of home faster than anyone else would be able to. Her insane language skills are totally BS though.

While I see your point about her supposedly figuring out other cultures in four months, you certainly took the most negative interpretation of the situation.

And you guys say I'm too cynical...

...I mean, she would have obviously had to use a disguise while sneaking out as well. Have to make sure no one notices her after all.

It's not that unrealistic actually, I picked up some Italian after staying in Italy for only two weeks.

Which means she's gonna die as soon as she has kids. She better avoid Soma.

Avoiding Souma is like, the one thing she won't do.

Maybe in the beginning when she was more timid and trying not to draw negative attention to herself (and got forced with Souma anyway), but not now.

Yeah, it's the typical "each character is superhuman in his/her shtick" shonen thing. I don't think there's any lack of respect here.

I'm Italian and I can say with confidence that we and the French would bicker forever about anything, especially about which language is the language of love.

French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese is there ''really'' any difference between them?

Assuming the anime eventually gets to this point (probably pretty safe), I wonder how they're going to deal with this guy's non-Japanese accent.
