A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Eizan's rage face and Subaru's "Soma Impression."
I'm really wanna see Erina's reaction to finding out Jou is Soma's Dad. That is too priceless to not be animated.
Come to think of it, we don't even know how many episodes we're getting huh. I really hope it's 2 cour at least.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. It'll need 2 cours to cover all the current arc's content.
Funny thing, it's a common misconception that everything after Azami shows up is one arc. That's false, it is in fact a series of arcs.
That said, I doubt we'll be getting anywhere near where we're currently at unless they outright skip stuff. I'm guessing the season is going to cover everything from meeting the rest of the Elite 10, to the fallout of Soma vs. Eizan and Erina finding out about the truth if it's one cour, and if it's two, they can stretch it to Erina opening up to Soma and regaining her resolve to fight against Central.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I guess it feels like one arc because everything that's happened so far is due to him. Feels more like a Dragon Ball saga for that reason.
Depending on how many cours, I can imagine this season going always the way up to Soma's rematch with Akira. I feel like that would be a solid "endpoint."
Erina's new VA does a spot on impression of her original. Had it not been announced that she couldn't return, I don't think I would have noticed.
The OP implies it's gonna cover everything up to Soma vs. Tsukasa.
And lol, they skipped the meeting with the other Elite 10. Guess you gotta watch the OVA.
EDIT: oh, Erina's new VA was Karen from Gamers!, that explains a bit considering they're cut from the same cloth of character archtype.
EDIT 2: Looks like we're getting 2 cours, and now I'm extremely happy

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. With two cours, I gotta imagine the second cour is going to end with the rematch with Hayama.
So how did you guys feel about the pacing compared to the prior seasons?
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Outside of the crammed in recap at the start, the pacing seems okay to me.
That's mostly because they had to briefly recap the OVA that detailed the meeting and why Soma is challenging Kuga.
Guess I'll have to watch that.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. Two cours? Awesome. Here's to a good six months with more Shokugekis.
x4
I still don't understand the complaints about the pacing for the first two seasons. Maybe it's because I'm anime-only when it comes to the series but I thought the pacing of both was just fine. Not too rushed, nor too drawn out.
Season 1's pacing was considered good, it's Season 2's pacing that's mostly criticized. It was likely a result of having 12 episodes as opposed to 24, so they had to blitz the material to get to the point that they wanted to cover.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I've seen people say that season one dragged things out for too long and that season two was too rushed. I honestly can't agree with either assessment though.
Season two was too fast for me. Then again, I didn't really watch most of it. Doubt I'll watch the third season either.

For the record, the first episode covered approximately 2.5 Chapters. The latter half of 119 to 121.
Not interested?
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Chapter out RIP Eizan
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yeah, after all that, I think we all know who's going to win now.
Then again, we said the same thing during Subaru's match. But yea, I'd rather not have a repeat of the same plot point.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.So now that Takumi's victory is essentially locked in, I'm kinda hoping Megumi win, and Souma loses.
No one would expect that plus, he already had a victory, and it would mean we'd finally get to see Erina in action.

One Strip! One Strip!I actually figured Subaru would still win. I think this is a bit different.
Akira was just some homeless kid, not a cook. Everything he learned was a result of exhaustive study when Jun adopted him and he wanted to make it up to her or whatever.
