I think you are misreading my post, I haven't been discounting anything from FIM.

What I'm saying, is that the Equestria universe isn't directly interchargible with ours. If Rarity would exist alone with no friends, then I agree that an adult woman's role would express her the best.

On the other hand, if Rainbow Dash would exist alone, then her human adaptation would work the best as a high school athlete aspiring to be a professional in the next years as she grows up.

If Pinkie would exist alone, then her best adaptation would be a pre-teen girl who lives with her parents' aquintaces.

If Tilight would be alone, her adaptation could be either a uni student or a high school student, it could go either way.

But if you have to represent the whole cast in a human context, then a High school works as well as anything else, it's probably the best generic compromise.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE

RD is the head of the weather team. Not some high school team, but the ponies in charge of all the weather in town. Not a position you'd give to some random teenager. Add in that she had to have been working for the weather team for quite some time to get that senior and how well she handles the job. No nothing there hints at being less then an adult.

I doubt the movie will really have time for any romnce plot, since we've got the crown missing, Twilight trying to fit in ("How am I supposed to write with these knuckled monstrosities?"), and some sort of explosive magic climax, combined with the prologue and epilogue in the Crystal Kingdom.

edit: You know, I just knew that would wind up going out of control. I just want it to be something like she says something about how it must be a formal occasion, since everyone's wearing clothes, and then she gets a bunch of weird looks.

I think that, if this were a pitch for a full series, instead of a singular movie, we'd have the characters being older, nd in more established jobs. However, he thing as a singular movie has to be a bit more tightly focused, so we dont' have the time to have the cast as spread out as they would be.

I can just imagine the EXPLOSION of R34 as a result of this, and that instead of reasons.....which it is made for now, the Eq G porn would be made with hate in the artists heart, a form of protest at Eq Gs existence "Oh what's that Hasbro you don't like R34 of your I Ps? Is it actually a job? Who is she getting paid by? For all we know, taking care of the weather is exactly the kind of thing that teenagers would do.

The important part is, that RD is more defined by her aspirations as a future athlete (who is nowadays mosly just competiting in local events), than any nominal work that she currenly has.

Faith Summers is a pretty name. The others do make sense as well, but yeah, not believing that without more evidence.
