But the target audience for Equestria Girls is teenage girls so why would you whispering the word "shit" make you feel ashamed of yourself?

For MLP yes. EQG is going after the mid teens. trying to get in on the Monster high demo.

[up]Really? I didn't think mid-teens was the demographic for Monster High (I guess it shows how behind the times I really am or something).

Well, in that case, when I meant target audience, I meant the target audience of Friendship is Magic cuz that's the audience that showed up (Makes sense, though. Equestria Girls is still technically Friendship is Magic). Any teenage girls who showed up were already fans of the series.

Do the photos here and here help indicate the target demographic of Equestria Girls?

Toys based on shows tend to be bad in general.

>Looks at her massive collection of G4, G3, G2 and G1 Pony toys and Monster High Dolls.

>Hides them from sight.

Yep. Totes terrible, how anyone could like them is beyond me.

A lot of the early G4 toys were pretty damn bad.

I love the Brushable toys. And I want them to make more of either new characters, turn existing characters into toys OUTSIDE of the collector packs or just in general STOP releasing the mane six characters over and over again only with a new hat as the only difference.

I like the brushables too. Styling their manes is surprisingly addicting and I'd probably have done more of it if I wasn't really bad at it. XP

I am not sleeping in a same room with any of those EQG dolls. I like my soul not taken.

The brushables are fine, I'm talking things like Pinklestia, and those So Soft Newborns.

The popularity (and relative cheapness?) of the blindbag figures have made Hasbro slow to release new brushables I think.

So basically, taking the fundamental core concept of My Little Pony out of the My Little Pony line. The brushable hair.

Personally, I'd rather have non-brushable hair that looks like the actual ponies manes and tails rather then a mess of synthetic fibers that looks nothing like it.

#3772: Jun 20th 2013 at 6:20:06 AM

[up][up]Bronies, as a whole, don't care about brushable hair, they want show accuracy, unfortunately. That also means that even if they had a brushable they wouldn't do anything creative with them anyways. I know probably wouldn't.

The brushables are okay; so are the blindbags. Most of the other toys look so little like the show that the adult fanbase isn't interested. But yeah, it's a case of "If you're going to sell me a Fluttershy toy, I want it to look like Fluttershy."

I do kinda wish Hasbro would put a little more effort into making show accurate manes on the brushables cuz it seems that they are somewhat capable of achieving that accuracy with the EqG dolls.

Though I do like seeing fans trying their hand at making them look show accurate and they all come out really well.

I do wish Hasbro would do another gift set for Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Rarity. I liked that most of the characters in that set (With the slight exception of Pinklestia) were show accurate and were the size of the brushable (I kinda wish the Funko figurines were a little smaller).

I bet there was a significant number of wizards and grownup friends in the crowd [lol]
