Justice Avengers: Jump City at Dusk

Majestic languidly turned his eyes skyward when Flash mentioned things being temporary.

Hammer pointed a finger angrily at Impulse and Wolverine, a vein pulsing in his forehead.

"That is...you can't prove that! I didn't know about any...underground facility! What am I, some kind of supervillain??" He pointed at Blockbluster. "It was all Desmond's idea! Throw him in the back of your van, not me!" The police shrugged and, with a struggle, began loading Blockbuster's carcass into the vehicle with the Bang Babies. "Now, as for you all-"

"As for us??" She-Hulk asked, pulling away from Majestic, stalking angrily towards Hammer. "I still don't think we're done with you. Even if you really expect anyone to believe that the facility wasn't your idea, then that means you somehow had no idea about the giant underground compound being built, the illegal seizures, or the illegal experimentation? That, buddy, just screams of criminal negligence, not to mention incompetence!" Hammer wilted as the jade giantess toward over him, unconsciously bringing the legal savvy of Jennifer Walters to bear. "And then you come out here, too late to actually help, but with plenty of time to throw around lies and baseless accusations to me and my friends? That is slander, buddy!" She smiled at the cops. "Oh boys?" Wordlessly, they handcuffed Hammer, who was too stunned to begin objecting until he was already in the back of a cruiser.

Majestic watched She-Hulk in stunned silence, his eyes wide and his face a deep shade of crimson. Whatever fury was in him, it was attracted to She-Hulk's fury in turn...

"Very nice," Wolverine commented to She-Hulk, genuinely clapping. "I was going to question him about how he knew who exactly was that big gray Hulk ripoff despite it not looking remotely human, and mention about how a good number of those kidnapping victims were citizens of a sovereign kingdom, but I think you had plenty enough ammo already."

"Woah, She-Hulk." The Flash said, scratching the back of his head. "Are you a lawyer in your spare time? Cause it felt like I was watching an episode of Law & Order." He said, before adding. "A good one. Before it went bad."

Faiza watched as the rest of the fight occurred, staying out where it was obviously logical. She flew over and hovered near the other as cleanup happened, using her strength to clean up the few things she had wrecked herself on the way. She smirked as She-Hulk provided legal defence to the heroes present. She wasn't entirely sure what had happened but that other guy seemed like a jerk. Once most things were in place, she lifted a little further into the air and tried to look dramatic before addressing the full group.

"Tell me, heroes. Do you guys have a superteam over here? Or... any sort of organisation? SHIELD or something?"

She hastened to presume any organisation from her universe would exist but the best way to achieve her mission would be to find such a group

At the mention of a lawyer, Daredevil stopped. But after hearing it was just a joke, he returned to getting ready to leave. Faiza's question kept him around for a little more. "Ah. They're a team." He said, pointing over at the Flash. "Call themselves Justice Avengers."

He raised an eyebrow. "Haven't seen you before, and I've seen a lot of things. Just who are you supposed to be? And what do you mean by 'over here'- are you from New York?"

She-Hulk's green skin reddened slightly, as she realized that the knowledge she'd just used wasn't technically hers, it was Jennifer Walters'. And they were two different people, weren't they?

"What, me? A lawyer? Pffft." She sputtered, super convincingly. "I just watched a bunch of cop and lawyer shows. I mean, who wants to spend all that time going to law school? All those nights studying, all that time to pass the bar, hours wasted pouring over case....s...." she paused, then walked over to Majestic. "Scuse me." She muttered, then pulled him away from the rest of the group to whisper conspiratorially to him.

Aquaman approached Wolverine again at this point, putting a hand on the man's shoulder.

"Did you know Namor?"

"Not personally," Wolverine said. "I think......but I did work with people who did meet him personally while I fought during the Second World War. He didn't have much of a presence during the war, but he was instrumental in preventing any aquatic invasions by the Axis on the US. He was also a bit of a jackass - er, no offense."

"I'm from... England" Faiza spoke, her slow tone clearly showing the half-truth. Her heartbeat was calm but Daredevil wouldn't need his powers to tell she was withholding something.

"Hence the costume. I'm Captain Britain. Although... I wouldn't bother looking me up. The sword has more internet presence than I do." If anyone did they wouldn't find much - in this world, neither Brian Braddock nor Faiza Hussain had taken up their super-identities yet.

"So... Who are the biggest threats here? What foul foes have you guys got?"

Starfire

"I do not like magic," Starfire looked to be in a slightly bad mood, scrutinizing that the main masterminds had escaped again, but turned towards Wonder Girl. "Who are you?"

Starfire's mood improved now that Hammer was getting the justice he deserves, though.

Aquaman chuckled, shaking his head, holding up a calming hand.

"It's all right. You don't need to apologize. You're right." He scowled as he spoke. "Namor abandoned my mother when she was pregnant with me. The man I consider my real father was Tom Curry. A good, hard working man. He taught me the values of honesty and courage. Things I have brought to my rule in Atlantis." He slapped Wolverine on the back with a grin. "Ah, what a grand tale this will make! I think I'll call it The Surface Showdown!'

Wolverine barely felt the pat on his back, mostly due to his adamantium skeleton. "Yeah, cool," he said, by the mutant's mind was off in a tangent. Maybe the reason why SHIELD and the media labeled Namor as dead was probably cover up his act of being a deadbeat dad. But the question remained of why Namor bailed on his Empire in the first place. Maybe some sort of big event happening? Honestly, the surface world never really paid attention to news going on underwater. And even if Namor had his reason for leaving his son in the care of his foster father, it was still a dick move on Namor's part.

"By the way, were there any really big events that happened in Atlantis back in the 80's?" Wolverine asked Aquaman out of curiosity.

Aquaman rubbed his beard in thought. Notably, he had not released Wolverine from his one-armed embrace yet.

"Nothing I can recall, old chum." He admitted. "I have not been King for terribly long, in truth. But I have done my best to learn about our culture, and of Namor himself." He shrugged. "After the second World War, he tried to divide his time between ruling Atlantis and being a surface-dwelling Superhero. But the hostilities of the surface world eventually forced him to stay in Atlantis for about a decade. Then he resurfaced, if you'll excuse the pun, in the 70s. Then, I happened, and he returned to Atlantis without explanation. I have not yet discovered the source of his disappearance."

"Aah, you're mistaken. I don't have any foul foes. Like I said, I don't hang around these guys too much... I often deal more with the people that go under their radar. But I can't blame them- too busy stopping some magic thing from magicking all over the world, I understand." Daredevil said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I should introduce myself. I'm Daredevil. What part of England are you from?"

She had guessed that it was Daredevil standing before her - there was a Daredevil with a pretty similar costume in her world - but is was nice to be sure anyway. She couldn't be sure it was Matt Murdock anyway. She had respect for the more street-level heroes; they tended to stay more down-to-Earth in attitude as well as villains, which was nice. It wasn't really her domain though - with such great power, she felt responsible to do more.

"Those magic things do tend to magick about. Although I guess I can't really talk."

The sun glinted off Excalibur as she talked, the magical blade still shining as she returned it to its sheath.

"I'm from the East, originally and I was in London for a while. I've moved around a lot since the whole 'super' thing though."

She didn't give any more detail both because it seemed odd to give out that much information and also because she wasn't sure if this universe even had a Chelmsford. She needed to find an internet connection pretty soon so she could brush up on this world's main events.

"You know what was actually going on here? I just kind of flew towards the carnage."

Now that things had finally calmed down, Trace Metal approached Steel: "Well, nice to see you" (then in a lower tone) "Did you get that Star-Lord guy's radio frequency like I asked? Because I don't trust him that much to be honest. Oh, and what's that you're carrying?" he asked, meaning the deactivated Super-Adaptoid.

Meanwhile, Sandy continued to help Majestic: "We all get our dark moments. Today was yours, and we were here for you. We count on you to be there for us, when ours come" she said, with her most encouraging smile.

"Some guy who calls himself Loki decided to... spread some chaos. Got a bunch of Bang Babies riled up. Decided to leave." Daredevil said, staring at Faiza with an interested look. He detected a hint of familiarity... didn't match the kind of reactions he got from people who had only read about him on the internet. There was a theory brewing in Matt's head: Faiza knew Daredevil... just not this Daredevil.

"Rrrright." The Flash said, looking over at She-Hulk and Majestic. "Guys, we need to work out where to stash our villainous tomato." He said, pointing at the knocked out Red She-Hulk, before glancing at the newcomers- Faiza, Daredevil, the such. "Haven't seen all of you before. Well, you I've seen," He pointed at Daredevil. "But not you." He pointed at Faiza. "Though I get this weird feeling I have seen you somewhere... in the past?"

Yet another mysterious disappearance, Wolverine thought. This was the second one he heard about this day. In this case it was more serious, considering it was a freakin' monarch that was missing and his disappearance was that surface media decided to just declare him dead. Still though, questions meant for another day, supposedly.

"Anyway, shouldn't you check up on your subjects?" Wolverine said. "Maybe see if any of them can testify against Hammer when his trial comes up?"

Aquaman nodded. "I will tend to my people." He agreed. "When you have need of me, friends, I am yours to summon." He turned, then waved back at them. "Farewell!" He cried, then ran back towards the docks.

The police hefted the dead weight that was Red She-Hulk away, tucking her off in a separate van from the Bang Babies. Almost as red was Majestic's face as She-Hulk sashayed away from him. He nodded at Sandy, mumbling unintelligibly.

Now that the fighting has stopped, the gaseous girl felt a bit out of place. With no memory of where she came from, she had no idea of where to go from here. There was the possibility that someone could help her, but after all of that drama she was a bit hesitant. "Ummm..." She began to say, hesitant to interrupt.

"Yes?" would respond Katana to the ghostly Secret.

"I believe I have pinned his frequency, but that assumption has not been put to the test," Steel explained, "It remains to be seen if his ability to hide himself is more sophisticated than my ability to find him.

"As for this," He shook the Adaptoid, "The others were fighting this thing at the docks before they came here. Much like this battle, I was too late to participate but I took the time to dismantle parts of it and remove the power source."

He lifted the black box up, "I have here what I believe to be a source of clean, safe energy that could put an end to both the want of energy and the pressure on the environment. This could change the world, if only utilized correctly. This could be a weapon of peace that bring sudden, violent, bloodless end to a few of this planet's problems.

"Technologically, I believe I'm capable but there are many more factors beyond that and beyond me."

Kara—time alone.

While Kara wanted to say to meet the new superheroes like Faiza and Daredevil and she would have liked to stay to see she hulk use her law skills. She left the scene before things settled. Perhaps that would be for another day.

After seeing Majestic having a breakdown and felling the fear of losing him forever. Kara knew Majestic was a good man that just had just a bad day. "More good than I will ever be," she thought to herself.

She just wanted sometime alone to put her thoughts in order.

Kara was now her civilian clothes, sitting in a Nearby lake throwing stones. Perhaps the closest thing she had to a fortress of solitude.

The cold wind was playing with her hair, becoming one with her breath while her hands could feel the wet of the grass. While the sound of the water and the sight of the stones bouncing in the lake helped her to feel peaceful.

Her thoughts were lost in her, past, her present and her future.

There was so much she didn't knew about herself, she still was unsure if she could be a superhero,hiding her doubts about herself. She was wondering If she could keep running from her past, from herself and redeem herself. Maybe, one day, she would find those answers.

"Ah, Loki. Him I've met before."

She hadn't met this Loki - her world had a Loki who had died and reincarnated as a heroic child quite some times ago - but it was close enough.

"Not sure what a 'Bang Baby' is but I'll just go with that."

She then looked over to The Flash. Her world had quite a few of those, so she couldn't really track down which one this world would have an equivalent of if it did correspond that easily.

"Possibly, my adventures are kinda weird. You The Flash? I'm Captain Britain. Sort of new."

"Good" Trace Metal said to Steel. "Make sure to send us the frequency at the HQ. Just in case. As for that- robot, and its technology, I guess you're better equipped than we are to handle it, I leave it in your hands."

He then walked back to Sandy, who was still comforting Majestic.

"Come on, Big Guy. Let's go rest" she said to the latter.
