Justice Avengers: Jump City at Dusk

She-Hulk winced at Red She-Hulk's freaky date crack. "Oh great. Now you just gave me an image that I'll never forget." Choosing to wilfully ignore the goings on with Ambush Bug, She-Hulk focused instead on the battle happening in the sky. "Right. How do we get there? You can't fly, can you?... but if you're like me, then you can leap really high. Which means..." A grin got on She-Hulk's face, and she put her hands in front of Red She-Hulk, nodding at them. "Jump on 'em, and I'll throw you as high as I can!"

Red She-Hulk

"Hey, you know better than me how much damage our bodies can take. Oooh, I know this one! The fastball special!" She smirked, getting up into She-Hulk's arms. "Do it!"

"Fastball special!" She-Hulk yelled out, and once Red She-Hulk got on her hands, she threw her as hard as possible at Ursa. "Coming right up!"

Red She-Hulk flew right at Ursa like a big, red torpedo.

Kara

"You know the saying nothing ventured nothing gained kara told Ambush bug" as she shurgged her arms.

"But don't worry too much about me, I think the other heroes might need your help. Besides Zod and his people think we are so little they even haven't noticed we are, we will be fine!" Kara replied confidently to Ambush Bug.

Ambush Bug coughed. "Ow..Right! Okay, want to plan a strategy? Do you know about any possible supernatural abilities that you have?"

"Sure! I was thinking that we might distract them while the other heroes take them down. You mean If I have Superpowers? no I don't think so, how did you learn to teleport anyway?".

My costume had teleportation technology and it fused to my skin."

"Alright. Here he comes." The Flash cracked his knuckles. "Starfire, bring him as close as possible. I'll jump on him and unleash the fastest barrage of punches that guy has ever seen."

Kara

"Well I guess that isn't as bad as being bitten by a radiactive insect, but If having supernatural abilities is that painful I think I prefer being average, No offense A.B. Anyway, do you need help distracting the bad guys?. I am sure they will be more talkative when they are beaten." Kara told Ambush Bug

"Sure! Know any songs?"

"A lot, mainly music I could dance to... oh you mean as a distraction, well I am not very fond Alvin And The Chipmunks". She replied to Ambush Bug.

"Perfect! Let's dance around and sing Alvin And The Chipmunks!"

Starfire continued firing starbolts at Non, hoping to lure him closer to Flash but ready to dodge out of the way if need be.

"Yeah I don't think that's going to work, our voices sound completely normal and boring" Kara replied to Ambush Bug "Oh look it's Starfire!, who knows maybe they won't need a distraction after all".

"Cool! Yo, Starfire!" Ambush Bug waved frantically. "Remember me? I was at the press conference!"

"I don't have a speaker, but I have a tiny recorder. I was watching some weird reality show and I tried to audition! I can't remember what I was singing, but it might work!" Call Me Maybe immediately started blaring. "Definitely obnoxious!"

Ursa aimed her gaze down at Kara and Ambush Bug, one eyebrow raised in disdain.

"What do you know of Jor-El? What does human trash like you know of Krypton?" She asked incredulously, reaching to fly down and grab at Kara, when Red She-Hulk smashed into her like a wrecking ball, sending both of them crashing into a building. Ursa shoved Red She-Hulk away indignantly. "What...what sort of creature are you??" She asked, eyebrows raised in confusion. Non turned his vision towards where Red She-Hulk had come from and spotted She-Hulk. He flew at her, teeth bared, bellowing with a primal rage, one fist cocked back to strike.

Meanwhile, Zod recoiled from Majestic's punch and wiped blood off his lip, sneering. "All I know, stranger," He said, as he charged forward, "Is that if you are the blood of Jor-El, then I will see you KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!" He struck Majestic square in the face, sending him barreling down the street like a rocket, past the arcade before he slammed into a car.

Wolverine reappeared near where the fight against the Kryptonians occurred and quickly found Deadpool.

"WILLLLLLLLL-SOOOOOOOOOON!!!" Logan yelled out as he approached - *shnkt* - sounding extremely angry at the red clad mercenary's mere presence.

In mid-air, Copper Sunbird saw Red She-Hulk struggle with the woman in black, and mentally commanded part of her right wing to turn into a glob of liquid metal, which then hurled itself onto the latter's face. While she doubted it would hurt her, maybe it could blind her, giving her ally the advantage.

Meanwhile on the ground, Pulsate concentrated and sensed the massive shock-waves being generated around him. He focused his power on Non, trying to absorb as much kinetic energy from him as possible, which would slow him down and give green She-Hulk a chance against him. Hopefully.

"Um, Mr. Wolverine, sir?" Donald's voice sounded in Logan's ear, "Maybe we've got bigger problems than that guy."

"I'm gonna make sure he doesn't make the problem even bigger," Wolverine practically growled at Donald.

Pacific Ocean

Commander Kreigkopf had a smug smile plastered on his face as he strode through the gritty halls of a mechanical fortress. He had been requested to go down to the office of the AIM admiral himself. Commander Kreigkopf was so enveloped in himself that he didn't notice Dr. Balin approaching him. The two bumped into each other, and Balin dropped the stack of papers she was carrying. Kreigkopf watched the marine researcher pick up her files from the floor, not even bothering to help her.

"Good morning, Balin. I thought I'd let you know that the admiral has called me to his quarters. Probably for another big promotion, so in several minutes you'll be referring to me as Captain Kreigkopf. Keep up the good work," he sarcastically quipped. "Your studies on dolphin psychology will be so useful for RAID in the future."

Dr. Balin smiled up at Commander Kreigkopf, which caught him completely off guard. What was she so happy about? He continued to walk down the hall into the head office.

It was pitch-black inside The Admiral's office. He couldn't make out anything in the darkness. Kreigkopf felt a chill go down his spine. Why was he sitting there in the dark?

"Be seated, Kreigkopf. We have much to discuss," the admiral said.

Kreigkopf stumbled over to a chair and sat down.

"Of course, sir. What's this about? Am I finally getting that promotion?"

The admiral sighed.

"I want to discuss the incident with the barrel of Quantum Vapor I ordered your team to dispose of awhile ago. I haven't gotten a word back on what happened."

"Oh, yeah. That. Well, we had it, but the police saw us and—"

"You got into a confrontation with the police? How is that even possible? I gave you simple, specific directions on how to avoid the Coast Guard and return to base safely. Were my directions wrong?"

"N-No! It's just that, well, we didn't use the boat, sir. We had to use a car, the barrel was really heavy, and I didn't know how to get it down to the docks without breaking it. So I thought, hey, maybe we could just drive it over to the helipad and take it to base by air. Then the police saw me, and I was holding a loaded rifle at the time, and the cops didn't like that. We got into a car chase."

"And then what happened?"

"Well... the barrel... It fell out of the trunk of the car. Rolled right into a ditch. It's not a big d-deal, right? We got away, and nobody's seen the barrel. We can go back and— "

"I've heard enough, commander. It's apparent to me that you've failed to do a simple task due to your own ineptness and laziness. You defied my direct orders. You were spotted by the police. You lost a barrel of Quantum Vapor, and risked the secrecy of this organization. Your bungling may have even created another Bang-Baby incident."

"Please, admiral, just give me one last chance! If the barrel's still there, I'll get it! If there's any new Bang-Babies out there, I'll make sure they go to the HIVE Academy! I promise on my grave!"

"No. You have made yet another mistake, commander. You referred to me as 'admiral'. I am more than an 'admiral', Kreigkopf. I am Black Manta. And you, Kreigkopf, are completely useless to me. I am reliving you of duty. From here on out, you are no longer a part of Radically Advanced Ideas in Destruction."

Two armored AIM guards suddenly grabbed Kreigkopf and pulled him out of the chair.

"Bring him to HIVE at once. They've been requesting live test subjects recently. Maybe HIVE can make you useful again, Kreigkopf."

"No, come, on, admiral—Black Manta! I-I-I heard about HIVE, and that Headmaster guy! Come on, be fair! Have mercy! I don't wanna go in there!"

The doors to "Black Manta's" office closed just as the disgraced commander began to scream. Just as he was ready to return to mulling alone in the darkness, one of the television screens in the office turned on. A RAID communications officer was on the screen.

"Sir, a message has come in from HIVE. You should look at the feed coming in from Twin Peaks."

Black Manta looked at another television screen, and raised his eyes at what he saw. It appeared that the West Coast Justice Avengers were getting into a fight with a trio dressed in black garb. He watched in awe at the amount of power being displayed in the battle.

"Yes, that's quite fascinating. Keep the feed rolling. If the Headmaster or the Scientist Supreme request it, we will engage them."

"Understood, Manta."

Black Manta continued to watch the fight.

Arcade

After some time had passed, the door bell jingled as another customer walked in - an olive-skinned girl in a slightly goofy trapper's hat and a bright red T-shirt bearing a familiar emblem◊.

"Sup Frank!" The teenager called out to the guy behind the counter, fishing a bill out of her pocket. "Hit me up with a slushie, I have a mighty need for-" She abruptly trailed off as she glanced around and spotted the scene at the DDR machine, her mouth dropping open. Moving very slowly, as if trying to avoid starling away a collection of flighty animals, she pulled out her phone and snapped a picture of the costumed heroes gathered around the game.

Only then did she dissolve into noises of fannish amazement. "Aaaah! Oh my gosh this is so cool!"
