Justice Avengers: Jump City at Dusk

"People who'd stand against them." Majestic said, as if it was obvious, even to him. "People who might actually be a threat to them." He crossed his arms over his chest. "After all, they froze you. Are you worse than them?"

Rural Falls

Flash narrowed his eyes. "Clever girl." He muttered, before grabbing onto Majestic's leg. "Pull me up there. I think there might be a faster way for us to do this- I saw that all tubes are connected to a central console, so there's gotta be a 'complete melting' button. There's always a button like that."

"But I am a boy..." Majestic muttered, befuddled. Regardless, he did as he was told and flew up into the room, Flash hanging from his leg. The lopsided weight was...awkward, but for Majestic, Flash barely weighed anything, so it was not too much trouble. As he let Flash go about his business, he tried to take stock of all the frozen people in the room. He'd been trying to read up on all the other blessed people like him in the world, and wanted to see if any of the frozen looked familiar.

"That's probably the most logical explanation I've since coming to this city," Wolverine replied as he stopped the bike. "Look, talk to you later, purple Hulk wannabe to beat up."

He got up from his bike - *shnkt* - ran over to where Tantrum was hanging fromand slashed its foundation. He would then run over to kciked the purple beast in the side as he fell.

Jump City Street Fight

"Hold on."

Thor frowned and swung his hammer more akin to a whip. There was a crack more like thunder, a solid wave of sonic air smashed into the first wave of barraging fire. It also picked up Thor and flung him back, but he landed deftly on his feet a dozen meters away.

"Aren't you the fellow who's arm I dislocated?"

"Sorry for taking so long!" She-Hulk yelled to Piston Girl as she pinned Mistro down. "Well now, girl." She clenched her fist. "I'm a lean, mean, green, justice delivering machine!" She yelled, bringing down her fist, aiming down to knock out Misstro with a single hit. "Pulson Girl, get going! Find the others, and tell them to find a way out of her as fast as possible!"

Rural Falls

"It's a reference. Jurassic Park?" Flash said as he expected a reaction from Majestic. "Oh my god, there's so much you need to learn, young padawan. Star Wars." He snapped his fingers and then started mulling over the console, twirling every button as he tried to find out what to do.

Stuck on the ice pods were an exquisite collection of men and women. There was a man holding two sais, ready to lunge at whoever was outside the pod◊, an older man inside clothes one might have used for deep sea exploration (Majestic could swear the man's eyes were moving), a woman wearing clothes resembling a leopard with a terrified look in her eyes,◊ a depressed looking boy covering his face with his wings◊, a hockey mask wearing brute with a stoic expression◊, a furry man grumbling from the darkness, a top hat w—

Wait, what?

Out of the darkness leaped the most interesting figure so far. It was clearly Wolverine, except every animalistic feature the man possessed had been greatly exaggerated. Long claws and fangs decorated his hands and mouth, whilst his entire body was covered in fur, yellow, tiger-like eyes shimmering as he pounced upon Majestic and attempted to slash at his face with no rhyme or reason.

Misstro received the punch, but she wasn't going to go down without a fight. She grabbed She-Hulk's fist, pushing it back, and with her other hand she reached for her whip on the floor, trying to use it to hit She-Hulk.

Jump City

The trash can Tantrum was standing on fell to Wolverine's claws, but the giant purple man did not fall prey to his kick. Once the mutant flew towards him with his legs outstretched, Tantrum tried to grab him and hurl him towards Blackfire with one single motion.

Whatever Thor had just said, it struck a chord with the fiery teenager. "Shut up!" He yelled, stomping his foot on the floor, cracking the concrete, trying to make a blast of fire erupt from underneath Thor.

"Okeydokey!" Was Pulson Girl's response, as she ran away from the two struggling green behemoths; she was more than happy to let She-Hulk deal with her Evil Double.

She decided to check on Majestic, so she teleported back to the room with the freezing pods, and found not just him but-

-"Flash! Finally! Are you OK??" (Then, realizing he might not recognize her:) "It's me, the pretty half of the Hero Duo!"

Before he had time to respond, however, someone resembling an even more feral Wolverine attacked Majestic!

Majestic let out a cry of shock as the feral man tackled him, claws digging into his skin, actually drawing blood. Majestic had become more accustomed to pain today than he had in his entire life, but between the shock and pain of this latest attack, along with the general frustration he'd been dealing with ever since they came to this damnable town, Majestic lashed out, without even thinking, punching not-quite-Wolverine hard in the face with enough force to crumple a train.

"Oh no you don't!" She-Hulk yelled, choosing to punch Misstro again with her other hand instead of going for the whip.

Rural Falls

Not-quite Wolverine took the damage full on, and he was sent hurtling back into the darkness. But the creature came back, crawling on all fours like a wild dog, his face a tangled mess, slowly regenerating from the damage that had been done to him- and Majestic had to watch as bone snapped back into place and as skin growed back over muscle- before pouncing intoMajestic again.

"Hey!" Flash turned around, his usual smile on his face, his hands travelling back and forth, pressing all the buttons. "I recognize you! What's your name now? Or have you told us your name when I was knocked out— what is that?!" He yelled, pointing at not-quite Wolverine.

"Guh!" Misstro groaned after she got hit, this time finally getting knocked out from the blows. But she still had time to say one last thing to her double. "Never... getting out..." She whispered, before falling down, unconscious.

Majestic shuddered, watching Not-Wolverine's grotesque display...but also was able to put two and two together and realize that this meant he could hit Not-Wolverine as hard as he wanted. And he did just that, venting all the frustration he'd been feeling today, from interacting with his asshole other self, to Atli, to everyone having a God Complex in this stupid universe, to Darkfire, to nearly dropping a building on himself. ALL of it, he let out every single time he punched Not-Wolverine. He didn't even notice Pulson girl.

It was very clear in those few seconds between getting caught and being thrown that Wolverine knew he was not going avoid hitting whatever he was being thrown at. The mutant would at least flipped himself forward and slash his claw at Tantrum's arm, just enough to leave a big enough gash to frighten and distract without crippling him.

Jump City

"So you know him, Thor?" As the Bang Baby Thor knew attempted to create an eruption of fire, Starfire began throwing starbolts at him to try to get him out of the fight quickly.

"You'll never get out! You'll be trapped here forever!" She-Hulk yelled out, clutching her heart. "Was that what you were going to say, hun?" She asked Misstro, lightly slapping her on the cheek. "By the way, get a better haircut. Whatever this is doesn't suit ya."

She-Hulk set off on the same path as Pulson Girl did, eventually reaching the room the group had reunited into... just as Majestic let it all out on not-quite-Wolverine's face. "Woah, woah, woah! The heck are you doing?!" She yelled, trying to hold him back before the doppelganger ended up without a face to be punched.

"Let me go!" Majestic shouted angrily as he felt himself being pulled away, arms windmilling, not even noticing who was grabbing him. "It's fine, he regenerates just like Wolverine, just let me-" and the next word he said would have sounded remarkably close to a swear word, when he noticed it was She-Hulk who was pulling him away. His face went red, and his arms went limp. His face was burning with shame as he stared awkwardly at the floor.

"I don't care if this is the bizarro Wolverine, you can't just punch on the guy until he's nothing more than a blood and stone pulp on the floor!" She-Hulk yelled, pointing at Wolverine. "Isn't that what separates you from Majestros?!"

That question hit Majestic like a punch to the stomach. He said nothing, shamed into silence. He stared down at his hands, horrified, looking back and forth from his hands to not-Wolverine. He couldn't...couldn't be anything like Majestros. Could he? He was different...wasn't he?

"Listen, hun." She-Hulk grabbed his hands, getting closer to him. "I know how it feels. You look at everything else... and it feels like it's made out of cardboard. Just one bad move and you'll step over everything. But that's what makes you majestic. Because when you got the chance to just step on everything, you went and said no. You decided to protect this cardboard world, even with the knowledge that just one wrong move and you'll destroy everything. That's what makes you a hero!"

Now Majestic's face was red for an entirely different reason. No one had ever called him a hero before. Well, no one that he knew, at least. And She-Hulk was the first woman close to his own age that had talked to him since leaving home.

"Th-thank you..." he muttered awkwardly, and gave her a small smile.

"If you ever feel this need, you talk to me, got it?" She-Hulk said, showing him her own arm and the muscles in it. "I pack quite a punch myself. Years of experience with this one."

Turning her attention to the bizarro Wolverine, she held out her hand. "Are you alright?"

Rural Falls

Not-quite-Wolverine, who was in the middle of regenerating from Majestic's attack, whined as he cuddled up on the corner, shivering in fear from both Majestic and She-Hulk.

"Can he talk?" Flash asked as he continued to mess with the console. "Do the bub thing Wolverine does?" He shook his head. "Nevermind that. Guys, I think I found a way to defreeze all these folks. It'll be a nice distraction for us... which means we can then access this." An image of a giant hamster wheel appeared on the screen. "It's on the floor upstairs, and from the looks of it, it's a machine designed to syphon energy off speed. And with someone fast enough, like yours truly, we could open up a portal back to our world!... or create a black hole and erase this place from space and time. It's very finnicky."

Jump City

"No, he doesn't!" The fiery teenager yelled back, responding to the starbolts by dodging them and sending his own meteor-like blasts towards Starfire. "That guy has no idea what he's talking about!"

Wolverine managed to get a pretty nice slash on Tantrum's arm, but that didn't stop him from hitting Blackfire. "Amazing maneuvers, Logan." The older sister commented after the two fell to the floor, and just as Tantrum stomped his foot and rushed towards both Wolverine and Blackfire with the speed of a raging bull.

Jump City Street Fight

Thor landed once again, having been sent flying by the fire manifestor's blast. He landed deftly on his feet, covered in burns but that only seemed to make him happier.

"You are!" Thor said diffidently, jabbing a finger toward him, "Back for another round, eh? I admire you're gumption."

He raised a hand up, "Starfire, don't interfere! This one is after his revenge, I don't want you to sour it."

Pulson Girl would probably not admit it aloud, but she was impressed by She-Hulk. Not only it looked like she had defeated her evil counterpart, but she handled Majestic's personal crisis really well!

Then she noticed what The Flash was doing. Especially the part about destroying this universe. "Uhh, I got a better idea. I have space-warping powers; how about if we combine them with the- 'hamster-wheel' thing? That might produce more controlled results."

"You go right, I'll go left," Wolverine quickly told Starfire as Tantrun ran at them. All he said was "Go" before he dashed at the purple palooka, veering slightly to the left enough to slash the Bang Baby's leg. Once again, to leave a gash but not cripple.
