Whew! It barely made its Kickstarter goal! I backed it, myself.
From the devs:
When we started talking about making Unwritten we knew we wanted to make a game for people that wanted something different. However, we underestimated how life-changing participating in a community of passionate and dedicated people would be.
We are humbled to be given an opportunity to not only make this game, but also to collaborate with people that clearly care so much.
Yeah, I'm really happy about that. Thanks for everyone who saw this this and contributed — I know that could come across as ironic, but I know a lot of people read without commenting.

I wasn't sure how it would end when I saw it with around 24 hours left yesterday(I think it was at $60,000 at the time). Guess I shouldn't underestimate last second funders.
Umbran Climax◊I backed it on day 1, actually. It was because of a news item I reported about Unwritten dev Joe Houston talking about violence in videogames.
Jonah FalconI also backed it. The premise sounded interesting. :3
Glad to see it met its funding goal - it really looked like it wasn't gonna make it for a while there.
In the event of a firestorm, the salad bar will remain open.
Unwritten: That Which Happened is a Kickstarter game concieved by one of the devs who worked on Dishonoured. It looks really, really good, a blend of role playing game and choice based RPG game with a distinct primitivised art-style and a perma-death scheme which really emphasises how much your choices are going to matter.
Like spiritual predecessor The King Of Dragon Pass you'll be playing as generations of a nomadic clan group as they travel across inhospitable terrain, bargaining with other tribes and their personal God. The gameplay itself is meant to be fairly deep strategy type play, which has been missing from the popular gaming community in the last few years. If you're into that kind of thing, or what to give it a go, you owe it to yourself to check the game out.
Check out that art.◊ Also this art.◊ Pretty neat, huh? That's all done by Amanda Williams, of Waking Mars fame.
The God thing's really interesting, actually. It'll be a randomly generated deity and the ultimate target of your pilgrimage, where it'll judge you against the moral code of its religion during the many lifetimes of your trek. Will the tribe always be able to hold to that code of ethics it hands down, or will it have to make blasphemous decisions in order to survive? Will the tribe even want to abide by its wishes?
There's a really great interview here, and here's another one.
Oh, and it's got open mod tools so that anyone can have a tinker with the game. Which is pretty fucking cool.
With only four days left on the clock, and two-thirds of it's way to it's really very low funding limit, I urge everyone to throw just a few dollars at this game. It looks pretty fucking fantastic. Check it out. Watch that video. Decide for yourself.
