Were those the only cartoons Spike had, or how long did that animation block last? Gary the Rat did look the most interesting to me from the few scenes I managed to get a peek at the first night.
I think I may have seen a bit of the Ren & Stimpy simply because I watched original when it was first on. Don't think I went for the others, didn't sound like something I'd care about.
As far as I know, those were the only 3. They were supposed to do a Klasky-Csupo show called Immigrants in 2004, but it never got off the ground.
There was another show about three guys who got drunk off of shots in a bar but I only briefly saw part of it.(A Muslim guy was beating a woman with some ridiculous object because she was getting ahead in a game show while one of the characters wanted to change the channel or something)
Of those three, Gary the Rat is the only one I have heard positive things about. I watched some of Stripperella because "Stan Lee" but it was not very good. I do not remember Gary being bad at all though, just a little slow paced.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackInterestingly, all the professional reviews I found of Gary trashed it as mean and unfunny — pretty much what Rowdy said on TV Trash.
I just watched the first episode and I got some laughs out of it. I didn't find the title character overly jerk-ish, and I don't have a very high tolerance for jerkasses.
I'm curious, but only because it has Kelsey Grammer, and that guy is just awesome.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Ren and Stimpy's Adult Party Cartoon was awful. Like, grosser than the original Nickelodeon series, but not actually funny. I rolled my eyes at Stripperella's concept but never watched it. Don't remember Gary The Rat at all.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyI watched the mall once only liked Stripperella.

Did anyone watch the three cartoons that Spike had when it first became Spike? I've heard a lot of negativity towards them, but apparently Stripperella and Gary The Rat have some fans. I saw TV Trash's review of both, which got me curious about them.
I'm surprised that I would want to check out Gary the Rat, since TV Trash bashed the whole thing and called every character a jerk. And I generally hate jerk characters unless they have some good qualities (a reason I can't stand to read Get Fuzzy). Eh.
Also, I'm totally immature, so I'll still laugh something like a society being called Animals Need Universal Support and leading to the joke "You can plug ANUS anytime." Also, boobies.
