The List (Interest Check/Sign-up)

Plot

Welcome to Paul Basin University, it's your second year at this old hallowed institute. Well, it's not exactly old. Established in 1900, Paul Basin University was closed in 1950 after some sort of incident. The university was only re-opened 50 years later. They say whatever troubled it all those years back still roams the school today.

It doesn't really matter to you though, the facilities are shiny and new, so that's always a plus. Your [dorm/off campus home] is nice enough and you've been doing well in all your classes so far, is there anything else you could ask for?

It's the fiftieth time you've heard rumors about this "List" and its mission to kill the ghosts under the school. You're getting very tired of it. Everybody knows and perpetuates the legends (mostly to the susceptible bright-eyed freshmen) but nobody has proof of it's existence, yet the stories continue to fit themselves into everyday conversation and sometimes even lectures.

Of course you don't believe in any of this stuff, and in just three more years you'll be done with this place and will be able to support yourself (granted you can pay back your massive student loans). It's easy enough, isn't it?

Well, it is, until Pennettiere shows up, claiming to be the "Reader" of the real pen-to-paper list and asking you to join the Named in permanently sealing whatever evil lies under the school before the tragedy of 1950 repeats itself.

At some point I'll require a bit of backstory, but for now everything's fine.

Just to get the backstory out of the way: When Ben got accepted into the school, he immediately heard the ghost stories, thinking nothing of them. He went to the school anyway. He always got good grades, and since this was oddly the only school that accepted him, he joined. His first year went well, if a bit abnormally boring, but the start of the second tear ushered in a new face... and his life took a turn for the worse.

Name: Tyler Wescott

Gender: M

Age: 18

Personality: Easy-going and friendly but also apathetic, aloof, and dispassionate.

Backstory:

The only thing Tyler has ever been passionate about was leaving his hometown. Because of this, he bolted at the opportunity to attend Paul Basin University, the farthest university he’d applied for. Not only was he accepted into their physics program and given a spot in the dorms, but he was also offered a partial scholarship for soccer, which made the perfect leverage to convince his parents. However, in spite of outward appearances, Tyler’s relationship with his family is rather estranged – but that’s a story for another day.

Now that he has arrived, Tyler’s main priority is finding a job. But, in all honesty, he’s just glad to be away from home. So what if everyone says the University is haunted? It’s not like any of that could be true.

This sounds interesting, but alas, I discovered it at 2:13 a.m. I'll try writing up a character after sleepy times.

• Age: 21 ( The Degree I'm going for would normally require 6-8 years so I'm putting myself at an age that's around half-way done.)
• Personality: Friendly, smart, and flirty, but sometimes makes jokes that go "To Far"
• Backstory: Jason was originally going to a different nearby college, but an unfortunate accident caused that college to close. Jason chose to transfer to Paul Basin University, because of the nice new facilities. Upon arriving at PBU Jason was greeted with a nice surprise, discovering that supposedly the school is haunted, Normally Jason is extremely interested in the occult, but doubted this story was true, and decided to ignore it. Jason's majoring in Forensics, and is taking classes in: Psychology, drama, physics, study of pop culture, and math.

Accepted, even with the little age discrepancy!

And, if everyone's still interested I think we could start tomorrow.
