Very good animation in this episode. Lot of in-betweening, character development, and good to hear Mike Nelson again.
To be honest, Lars deserved everything he got. |D;;;
But his bosses didn't like him so they shot him into space.
Whoops, Joel Hodgson. I mixed the two. ^^;
Though Mike Nelson is doing the voice for the new character in Armakrog.
@Maxwellelvis: If you'd read my posts more carefully, you would have noticed that, for once, I was talking about the other characters and not the Gems. And yes, I think we needed an episode focusing on Sadie and Lars like this much earlier.

I think having episode 21 focus on some side characters feels early enough, especially in the current lineup of 104 and especially since the episodes are only eleven minutes long.
On a different note, I really like the preview for the next episode. It looks like it'll be a good one.
It doesn't suck just because you hate it.I disagree precisely for those same reasons. But, we are free to disagree.
But why do you disagree? What exactly does the show need to rush toward? What will happen after it gets there?
Seriously, the only plot on the show is Steven's life and his training. There is no reason why it shouldn't have a leisurely pace at this time. If the whole story was rushed through in 26 episodes, what do they spend the remaining 78 on?
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatFiller of course
Sorry, but I'm tired of repeating myself. I think I've made my point clear numerous times by now. All I can say is "go back and reread what I said more carefully if you really want to know." Or, just ignore it. It's no big deal.
You really haven't given any explanation besides "It's too slow for me." You seem to think this show is something it's not, and you had similar complaints about Gravity Falls whenever the twins would fight or disagree or do anything that showed they're two different people.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatYes I did. I've mentioned why even shows like these need good character development at the right pacing, even providing links to the appropriate TV Trope pages on the subjects. But no matter how many times I keep explaining it people keep asking "Why do you say that?" This is especially annoying when it comes from the same people. So I'm not bothering anymore. Just take it for what it is, a fan's opinion, worth no more (and no less) than yours.
It seems like you expect every show to be canceled after one season so you think they should rush everything along, even though the two you've brought this up have confirmed longer runs than that.
And you never really explained why you thought it was bad that Dipper and Mabel act like real siblings.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatNo more comments from me on such matters. I'm done with it. From now on, I'll just give my opinion on each new episode as it comes out.

On agreeing to disagree I completely agree with. Opinions on pacing tend to vary a lot anyway.
Mirror Gem has apparently aired in the Philippines already. Looks like American CN is still behind some other countries.
It doesn't suck just because you hate it.Oh, is the new episode the one with the preview clip where they grabbed the wrong hourglass? I was gonna say it was like "He chose poorly" from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, but it also reminded me of that episode of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy where they overturned the hourglasses to make time run backwards for people.
Steven and the Stevens. My new beach jam!
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceSteven finally realized how annoying he can actually be.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceSteven becomes his own archenemy!
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWell, that started out silly and turned out surprisingly dark. Man, this show is good at that.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Technically... yeah I guess. Not sure how all the temporal paradoxes would work themselves out.
Garnet casually pointing out the lobster on Pearl's butt, Amethyst laughing at Pearl's expense, and Pearl herself screaming "EEEEEEE" was probably my favourite moment of the episode. Along with them all singing with Steven at the end, that was really sweet. Pearl so would play a violin instead of a guitar.

So? This series can afford to move at a leisurely pace. There's no real reason that Steven has to learn to be a Gem RIGHT NOW, and there won't be one any time soon.
