BOTH those things would need to happen.

Both are going to happen at some point. And it really has to be CG!Bismuth that poofed Lapis, because Bismuths aren't fighting Gems according to Homeworld
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. Both will probably happen if the show goes on long enough. Last I heard they were renewed until the end of the current season. I haven't heard if there are any more episodes purchased after that. Though I'd think we'd have heard something if that was the case.
The Crewniverse apparently has still recently been hiring more boarders which would be weird if this is the last season.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I meant sending a single ff colour to Earth, have her explain the situation, and then have her return. That's it.
(And yes, I think that it has to be our Bismuth who poofed Lapis. It doesn't make sense otherwise. Weird that the blacksmith wasn't using a weapon though)
If we're talking about during the time frame where Stevonnie was lost planet side... No one can use Steven's mane portals except him or a fusion including him. We even saw in Bismuth that it applies to Gems already in manespace.
If you meant when Lars was lost in space, IDK why an Off Color would explain it better than Steven
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Still wondering how unbubbling Bismuth is going to go. She wasn't exactly in a good place when it happened, and her issues aren't likely to heal fast. Which is par the course with this show, but the Lapis stuff makes it more...complicated.
I think either the Gems would get desperate enough that they would get her help if the situation becomes bad enough or something happens to the base that has all the bubbled Gems depoofed for whatever reason.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Another idea: Steven releases Bismuth when he finally works up the nerve to ask about The War, deciding that a) she can help Garnet and Pearl explain when and how it all happened, and b) she deserves to know how it ended.

I think Word of God confirmed that "we haven't seen the last of Bismuth" - though that may be what y'all are talking about.
Oh yeah, I remember that. I believe it was in an interview about that SDCC exclusive vinyl.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢They also mentioned in the same comment that Jasper would be back. Which is another reason I think Season 5 can't be the last. Uncorrupting Jasper will likely be an arc in and of itself, and so far Season 5's arc seems to be focusing on the PD mystery.
On an unrelated note... I did a reboot on this.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Well didn't we get it confirmed that Steven can at least partly uncorrupt Gem monsters like he did with Centipeedle? Uncorrupting Jasper is an intriguing idea and will likely be mentioned as a possibility at some point. We know both Rose and now Steven could/can bring people back from the dead so uncorrupting a Gem monster doesn't seem too far a stretch from that.
Speaking of townie episodes, one that I would really like to see is for Pearl to get in touch with the Mystery girl, considering that was Left Hanging with Pearl getting her phone number. Not sure if that counts for townie episode since we don't know where MG is from, but as for a plot "aside from the main story", I think it would be a good one.

Just wondering, do Connie's parents know about Stevonnie yet? That could be an interesting story.
Why would they tell her about that?
Stevonnie doesn't seem like relevant information...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Hmm, reminds me of that one fancomic where Connie tries to explain fusion to her mom. To get an idea of how well that went...well, it's on the Funny Moments Steven Universe Non Canon page.

Disgusted, but not surprisedFunny, I thought you were gonna link that one where Stevonnie talks to Connie's parents, and Doug just says "No" over and over, and splits them apart with his bare hands.
(In fact, I'm making that pic my avatar again for the rest of the day.)

Connie explaining to her parents who Stevonnie is would make an interesting episode I agree, especially since Stevonnie is their relationship, seems a bit silly to keep the deal a secret
New theme music also a boxI mean, they're not at all related. One is something they've been shown able to to do, the other is something they've been shown unable to do. And I'm sure in the end that's going to change because that's just the kind of show this is but you're drawing connections to things that aren't really there.
Fusion isn't a secret, but they don't really need to know...
It really doesn't matter either way, but the thought is awkward enough...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I love that comic.
I'm kinda imaging this scenario where Stevonnie gets back to Beach City, explains what happened to the worried Gems and Greg, and then Connie's parents suddenly charge in. Stevonnie immediately unfuses, and Priyanka and Doug are more introduced to the wonderful world of Fusion.
Not sure if I explained that well.
I was actually referring to the comic thatother1dude was talking about.

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Yeah, but that page is only like a tenth of it. It goes on to bring in Connie's dad and talk about Dragonball Z.

This is the first time I've seen the entire thing.
Either Lapis returns for whatever reason or they de-poof Bismuth for whatever reason.
