Young Justice. It's a cartoon with good animation, a solid plot, and excellent characterization. It takes a few episodes, but it does end up passing the Bechdel's test and is quite a good watch. It manages to surprise people who are huge DC comics buffs; but even if you aren't a DC buff it's followable.
Also, Green Lantern The Animated Series. It is an all CGI cartoon, using Timm's style. It has a solid story arc, and every character is given great depth. It has its funny moments, philosophical moments, and it handles everything really well. Also of note, most fans OTP is canon, which is a testament to the writing of the romance plot. Even better is that the romance plot is not the only characterization any characters involved in romance gets.
