Next OVA is out by June 28 next year.
You know, I think I like the Logicoma (or is it spelled with a K instead of a C?) more than the Tachikomas. It looks more aesthetically-pleasing IMO.
By the way, Funimation just announced that they're starting the English recording.
Anybody have any hopes on what the English cast will be like?
I'm sure that we all would like to know too,
The 3rd OVA is doing well in theaters so far. Can't wait to watch it.
10/21 is the date for the North American version of the OV As being officially released.
OAV #3 was interesting. At first I thought it would screw the Major character by making her struggle a little bit too much considering who she is supposed to be. And then I understood the Reveal, and I was "Whoa, okay, alright."
Even if I enjoy Arise, those movies are extremely cryptic for people who did not watch the series before. Viewers Are Geniuses, full stop.

That's almost straight trolling, casting Mary Elizabeth Mc Glynn in a Git S show and not having her be The Major.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.Well they didn't do the same in the original version with Tanaka not being casted.
It's done likely as a myth gag like how Sakamoto is the Arise Major.
Yeah I was thinking that too, just like how the groundskeeper in Skyfall was originally going to be Sean Connery.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.So the first trailer's on You Tube:
…Well, that was actually weird, how it got all glitchy almost immediately, especially towards the end when Matoko says how her ghost was whispering. I actually thought the sound in my iPad was acting up until it turned out that the trailer was doing that on purpose.
But I guess it makes sense considering how the first OVA dealt with glitchy details IIRC…
And based on this trailer alone, Elizabeth Maxwell is doing a pretty good job as a young Matoko. Plus, Chris Sabat does a nice job as Batou (again, judging from the trailer). It's reminiscent of Richard Epcar, but it's still kinda its own thing.
Also,
How does (and why would) someone politely punch someone else in the balls? Is that Mr. Epcar's way of saying "Lucky S.O.B." or something?

The last part was probably sarcasm on Epcar's part.
Last OVA, according to ANN, should feature more of the Fire Starter terrorist.
The new GITS movie would follow up on Arise since annoucements came that the Arise voice cast will come back.
News on a TV series based on Arise is coming this year.

Just started watching it. Am at episode 2. Man, this sure is a GITS story; it's harder to keep up with than The Wire sometimes!
Still, one pair of lines that really struck me as awesome:
Kusanagi:Then you're just a whiny bitch.
Burrrrrrn...
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. That line was great.
Has there been any word on when Funi will release episodes 3 & 4?

None so far.
Episode 9 of the TV adaptation is out. Its original production should cover more on Fire Starter.
And someone familiar shows up.
It's over. And Kurutsu still gets away with it.
Really? Didn't show up in any sites. Where did you get a looksee?
Same as usual.... Wing it.
