Because someone asked, here's a brief description of the stats, copied from the guide:
Athletics - Physical ability, combat ability
Affection - How good are you at forming bonds with your master and the other maids?
Skill - How good are you at your maid duties?
Cunning - How capable are you at tricking enemies and other maids, and deceiving the master?
Luck - Just how lucky are you?
Will - How positive and constructive is your thinking?
Favor, Spirit, and Stress:
Your initial favor is your affection times two. If your affection becomes negative, you are either fired or need to raise your favor. Your spirit is will times 10.
You can gain favor by doing something that pleases the master or by reducing one of your stats by one. If you do, you get 10 * X favor, where X is the new stat value. (Example, if your luck is 4 and you reduce it to 3, you get 30 favor.)
If you have been seduced, the person who seduced you can also give you favor for doing things for them.
Using Favor:
You can spend favor to do the following:
Removing Stress - Spend 1 Favor to remove 1 point of Stress.
Raising Attributes - To raise an attribute by 1,spent a number of Favor points equal to the new attribute level desired, times 10. (To raise a luck of 3 to 4 would cost 40 favor)
Roll Bonus - Spend 1D6 Favor to add +1 to either the die roll or your attribute score for one action.
Random Event - Spend 1D6 Favor to have a Random Event occur.
Stress You get stress when something bad happens to you, such as failing in combat. When your stress goes past your spirit, you have a stress explosion. For each post of your stress explosion, I judge how much stress you lose for that. (Probably will go with each post you do as removing 1d6 of stress). When your stress reaches 0, your stress explosion ends.
Sample combat:
Maid Jenny Neric is walking the streets of New Gothic when she spots a goon trying to rob a soda machine. "Halt, evil doer!" she says and attacks. (Jenny uses Athletics three and rolls a one (ouch) for a total of three.)
Mook tries to duck and throws a random uppercut at Jenny. (He decides to use luck of one and rolls a six for a total of three.). Since his total is higher, the mook's punch lands, so Jenny takes six (the total of the mook's roll) divided by the attribute she used (three, her athletics) for a total of two stress. If her stress is still lower then her will, she can continue the fight.
She wins once the mook's stress is over the mook's spirit. When that happens, the mook falls unconscious or surrenders to the police.
If the roll is equal (Mook has an attribute of 2, rolls a 6, for a total of 12; maid has an attribute of 3, rolls a 4, for a total of 12) neither side takes stress.
Working Together Two or more characters can work together. When they do, both players roll a six sided die and multiply by an appropriate attribute. (Example: Maid A rolls (3) times luck (2) to find the master's watch. Maid B rolls (1) times skill (3) to help her find it) They then add the total together (Maid A (6) + Maid B (3) = 9). If the total is higher then the challenge, they succeed.
If it is combat and their total is less then the opponent's total, one of the maids has to take the resulting stress (The opponent's total, divided by the stat the maid was using).
Maid Uniform Penalties
If part of a maid uniform is damaged or removed, it causes a penalty to rolls. The penalty is applied to the die roll. (Note: Penalties do not apply if a character does not normally wear that item or is wearing an undamaged item in place of the item. Example: A cowl in place of headdress.)

Ah, so this is the thread we talk in.
Ah.
Lucia loses (1d6) 3 favor, so her new favor is '1'.
Lord Cray has taken (1d6) 5 stress due to painful light exposure.
That yell was probably heard by all awake maids, so hopefully someone will trun off the lights and/or help Lord Cray get his sunglasses.
Ok, someone sent a very well done maid profile which I've posted in the thread along with Lord Cray's profile. Till that maid posts, we'll just assume she (the new maid) is sleeping in a bit.
Also: Two or more characters can work together on a task. When they do, both characters roll times their selected stat, then their totals are added together.

I've decided to skip over the 'costume' boost for now; later, I might bring it back if I think it's needed.
I went ahead and made up a list for crime fighting at night. The idea will be when someone goes out at night as a vigalante, they can spend 1d6 of favor to trigger an encounter. When they do, they roll two six sided dice - the first determines the threat level they find, and the second dice reveals the type of threat. Other maids can assist, if the first person asks for help. (higher level threats will probably need more then one maid). For level three, the maid will also have to roll a six sided dice again to see how many of that choice appear. You can leave combat at any time, but you only get reward favor for defeating one or more of the threat you're facing.
Note that you can wind up paying more favor then you gain (example: Roll a '6' for favor to have an encounter, then only roll a '1' for favor gained) even if you defeat an opponent.
Level 1: Low level criminal
Reward for defeating a level 1: 1d3 of favor (Roll a six sided dice, divide the result by two (rounding up). )

Hi all! I finally got in to make my first post. Since all of the core jobs were already underway, I decided to just roll it at random and help someone with what they were doing. I don't think I could have planned a better result myself. Betty and Gwenith seem like complete oposites, so they're probably either going to be fierce rivals, or best buds! Anyway, I'm looking forward to playing with you all.
The other maids have presumably with Cray for a little bit so should know each other. Given the back story you I Med me, I assume Gwenith will be able to recognize Betty once she sees Betty in the light. I'm assuming the viewing pools (or whatever other method) Gwenith used to first see Cray's quest against crime didn't include a smell-a-vision.
Matues sent me an IM saying it looks like he has to drop out; I therefore declare Betty a NPC, currently under my control. If someone else wants to take over Betty, that's fine.
Betty's stress: 3 Betty's Spirit: 10

If I don't hear from Ragna by Tuesday, Ragna's maid is declared to have never existed in the game. Then Betty or another maid will need to help the master into his exo-frame (with in-story being the master woke up on his own).
By the way, I wanted to take the time to point out that Gwenith pretty much just flies everywhere. It's more convenient for her, and allows her to look people in the eye when she meets them without forcing them to look down on her. Besides which, if you can fly like you're not going to do it ALL the time! Basically, unless she specifically is said to be walking or running etc, it's fair to just assume she's hovering, or flying.
Just to consider: Maids will probably need vigilante names, especially for a scene I plan coming up. Betty's vigilante name is 'Reap'. One of her early opponents called her 'a Grim Reaper Chick' and the name got shortened.
For some reason my first thought for MAD-E's vigilante name would be something Dalek related. Like 'The Exterminatrix' or something. Maybe it sounds villainous, but MAD-E probably wouldn't care at all.
Avatar from: http://x0whitelily0x.livejournal.com/5953.html N: 5 F, 0/40 SHmm... it's actually kind of hard to find ways to play up the sexy when a character is terminally laid back.
Regarding the Vigilante Name, given that Reina's got a Bad Reputation, she may have something in mind but she'll probably have some trouble controlling what what the villains, the press and the public actually call her. ^_^;
H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SFor some reason, Gwenith's Maid Power makes me want to give her a name like "The Weepy Wonder"! But I keep questioning how well that actually suits her, besides which, it's hardly a flattering name to call oneself by. Considering things from her perspective however, I think she'd probably come up with some cornball name like, "Wonder Wings" And if her reputation causes her to be dubbed something like "Wonder Weeper", then so be it. After all... it happened to "The Boy Wonder"...
Actually yeah. I like that thought. I'm totally going with Wonder Wings.
I made an attempt at creating Reina◊ with the (soon to be defunct) 'Tinier Me' doll maker. Unfortunately, there were no options for orange eyes, and folks will just have to imagine, say, Kirche von Zerbst to get the full effect of the 'Sexy & Sexy' maid type ^_~...

H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SHmm, maybe i should have Reina go into town to see if she can procure The Finest Maid Uniform in the World to replace the skirt and blouse she gave to Gwenith. After all, she's a maid in a strange country now, so fitting in is important ^_^;...
Hmm... reading through the combat example in the book, it appears that using powers that key off an opposed roll such as Instant Restraint or Coercion actually does count as 'combat' - but since Gwenith was actually incapable of resisting because of her 0 Athletics, she still takes no stress.

H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SLucia gets +4 points of favor for helping Cray into his exo-frame.
MAD-E gets a total of +12 points of favor for cooking and serving breakfast.
Also, the Mayor and Police Commissioner will be having Dinner with Lord Cray, so that maids will have to work together to: Prepare and serve dinner Clean up the Manor Make sure no vigilante gear has been left out.
Lucia total favor: 5 MAD-E total favor: 12

Oh, as I showed with Betty, each maid a spare uniform in her room. If you want to avoid the - penalties associated with damage/removal of maid uniform, just RP going to your room to change. Of course, you can't do anything else while you're changing and another maid can ask you to stay (You may have to roll, with penalty, to resist the suggestion).
Due to RL issues, there may be large delays in my posting responses. If that happens, Alhazred 23 has my permission to temporary RP Cray and/or Betty. (Basically, if you don't see me post anything in three or more days)
So, I've been wondering... Just how 'weird' is this world? In expressed terms, our esteemed guests arrive to the party; how many eyebrows are going to be raised by having a fairy, and an obvious robot on the staff when two of the vigilantes running around the city happen to be a fairy and an obvious robot? Does Gwenith need to hide her wings? Should MAD-E learn to smile? Will no one be paying attention to them so long as Reina's around? Or is it just presumed that their disguises are as miraculously convincing as Clark Kent's?
I'd say Clark Kent levels; as long as everyone tries to hide their powers, it works. Of course, if someone DOES reveal a power (like being undead, flying, etc) someone (or someones) will have to roll a cunning roll vs that guest to fool him. I'll go ahead and say the Mayor has level 2 cunning and Commissioner Jordan has level 3 cunning (but the mayor can order Jordan to 'drop it' if you manage to convince the Mayor that Jordan is being paranoid).
So OO Cly, I am planning to spend 10 of MAD-E's 12 Favor to increase her Affection from 0 to 1. This is why I'm having her attempt to reprogram herself with emotion. If successful she'll probably use inappropriate emotions in a given situation. In other words her emotional state would be partially if not totally dictated by the Rule of Funny.
Avatar from: http://x0whitelily0x.livejournal.com/5953.html N: 5 F, 0/40 S- LOL* Sounds good to me.
I'm probably going to be offline till tomorrow afternoon / Wednesday, but if you want to spend 10 favor to give Mad-E's emotion grid a boost, go ahead.
Also, I was thinking of having Cray, Jym, and the mayor (whatever his name is) discussing the activities of the latest super criminals and vigilantes, so that's why I wanted the vigilante names.
So, MAD-E now knows two types of expressing love, and may be learning joy next.
Ok, the game is started!

Website you can use to roll a die / dice : http://www.random.org/dice/
- - -
In story, it is morning.
Things need to be done: Wake up Lord Cray, Cook breakfast, Clean mansion
To wake Cray up, you need to either first turn on the light (to get safely to his bed) or try to get in with the lights turned off.
If going in with the lights turned off, you need a roll * attribute score of higher then 10 to get their successfully.
To do a roll: Select an appropriate attribute (For this Luck, Skill, or Athletics) and roll a six sided die. Multiple the two together, and this is the total.
