It's okay. Probably one of the better things airing, since at least there's action.
It's not a deep, but at least it doesn't seem to want us to look too deeply at it anyway.
It's not too painful to watch either... I'm trying to give it a compliment here, but all I'm coming up with is that it's not bad.
Well this isn't one of the shows you watch for depth (at least that's how I see it). This is the kind of show TTGL was. You watch it because it's fucking awesome and it gives you your adrenaline fix.
Here's to hoping it lives up to the quality of the show I just compared it to.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialIf you're going to get into Zettai Karen Children, read the manga first. Just my two cents.
This series is making me nostalgic for Index of all things.
Is it just me or are the powers poorly handled?
Okay, growing carbon wings shouldn't basically allow you to defy gravity. Particularly when you aren't even using them as wings.
Mind-reading apparently doesn't work on Andy, but broadcast thoughts do. What's the difference?
That was sound manipulation, which doesn't affect him directly. Though I'm still not sure if that makes sense, as he's sometimes shown just shutting down everything nearby
So, yeah, this is not the show for people that demand well-thought-out superpowers
Regretful sigh, I suppose so.
I had thought he could hear the glider or whatever that thing is, but I suppose there's no evidence.

Andy's power is fairly consistent compared to something like Index anyway. He cancels out psychic powers but not the effects of psychic powers. Telepathy doesn't work, but the sound guy can project his own voice and whisper in his ear at a distance. You can't push him around with telekinesis, but you can throw bricks at him.
As for the carbon, I'd go with the old adage that "if you can control something you can make it fly, and if you can make it fly you can also stand on it to fly yourself." Well, that's not really an old adage, but it's simply common sense. If he can make tentacles of carbon fly around willy nilly, why can't he make wings of carbon fly around willy nilly... while he's attached to them? It's just a specialized form of telekinesis anyway.
I mean, the powers aren't exactly the best thought out (the invisible hand actually makes the least sense to me, knowing from the manga what her power actually is) but I don't think it's any worse than your standard superpower story. And, perhaps, better than the incredible inconsistency of Western superhero comics, like X Men which the setting is clearly based on.

I never realy liked ZKCh so I hesitad to watch it, but in the end it's interesting. While powers might not be always consistent, I don't think I ever saw this kind of The Infiltration plot in anime and manga before. That's why this show has edge.

Episode 4 was surprisingly good considering how much of a step down episode 3 was. I was skeptical about bringing in the cast of the old series without changing the tone too much, but I think they managed it, for the most part.
No comment on how Patty managed to get a role as an extra? :P (Which was poked fun of in the 4koma of the main manga)
She got a role as extra back in episode 2. It'd be a bit late to comment on that.
Huh, this show realy need more love.
Anyway there is my guess what is Andy after brain of prophetic dolphin Igou-8, it makes even more sense considering that he works for US which is related to the these.
I guess it isn't needed be spoilered, but no everyone read original ZKCH manga or anime. Where it made appearance.

Is that really a guess? I thought it was made pretty explicit, although of course an anime-only watcher would have no idea what it is just by looking at it.
Oh yeah, as for needing more love, I kinda agree. This show is one of my favorites from this season. Although I've always had a soft spot in my heart for ZKC, even if the first anime was terrible. I've heard theories that the fact that it's a spin-off turns people who would otherwise like it away, which I guess makes sense.

I enjoy it, and I have no prior experience with ZKC.

I meant that some people will look at it, see its a spin-off, and decide that they can't watch it without seeing the original. And the original kinda sucks. Point is its status means some people won't even give it a chance.

Episode 07: Because he wouldn't be Magneto without Nazis in his backstory. Or Imperial Japan. Whatever, same thing.
This anime continues to air and surprisingly people continue to not care.
I think it's firmly established itself as an alternate continuity by now.
I know. Its a shame isn't it? Its one of the best anime of the season, action wise, and no one seems to talk about it. It makes me want to read the original work now.
Do it. But be patient with it's begening it will get better.
Definitely an alternate continuity.
Animation flub in the final episode.
The "burnt out" eye regained its color for one brief cut.
Was a good ending.
Didn't see a thread for this yet, so I decided to make one. Having had no prior experience with Zettai Karen Children, I can safely say this show has made me want to watch it, because it is fucking badass.
