I'm searching for a game, book, film or anything with a "magic/nature/religion versus technology" conflict like in final fantasy x. The point is that in many mediums you see technology being the bad guys in these conflicts and i'm searching for the opposite. In FFX magic is everywhere, but machines are banned and the only group that uses them is treated like heretics and outsiders. In the end they turn out to be rather the good guys and the state that opposed them, a one involved in a sinister plot.

Well, there's a good Man Vs Machine plot in Xenoblade Chronicles, with a very Tales Series-esque twist on the whole concept that I do not want to spoil. At least, no further than spoiling the fact that there is a twist.

...Metroid Prime 3 has one in the background as an apocolyptic log. Which isn't enough I know. I just liked it.

I thought it was mages vs savages, in that one.

The thing about the Xenoblade plot is that (without spoiling too much) neither side turns out to be 'good' or 'evil'. Pacal wants a plot where magic turns out to be bad and science is good.

[up][up] Started as Magic versus Science. Then the magic users went savage and the last science user started combining science and magic into Magitek.

Well, It turns out that ll the atrocities caused by the main machine dude are done in revenge against the horrifically evil god of the other side

Which doesn't excuse him, but it's pretty clear who the greater evil is.
