That voice. If they can get the game good then I am very interested.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. So its now out on pre-order on steam. $21.99 price expected to rise. A bit more than I would think for an independantly developed kickstarter game but it might be worth it.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Essentially Open Alpha for 22$ is sort of pricy, but truth be told, I shelled out 90$ for the Alpha of Planetary Annihilation

THREAD NECROMANCY!
Apparently this releases today - interview with RPS:

Bit of a focus on the whole multiplayer side of things (As in twitch competitive) but I was relieved to read that there is a campaign and a sandbox mode.
This may disrupt my Pillars of eternity run...

There is a campaign. Early adopters got to play the first three level. Today's release sees the rest added
Funny throwback to Dungeon Keeper: DK would comment on the time it is when you play, telling you to go to sleep if it's the middle of the night. Guess what WFTO does...
Sounds fun then. I loved the original DK's system and DK 2 with the more present narrator (Your dungeon is on an incline, angry creatures cannot play marbles etc)
Interesting to note they got EA to say they wouldn't to a C&D - quite how EA could do that I'm not sure, you can't "stop" a genre. It'd be like them trying to C&D Cities: Skylines for infringing Sim City.. but at least EA won't be kicking down doors and demanding royalties.
Going to get it when I'm home this evening. How's it play so far?
Back in the day video game companies had a bit more freedom with lawsuits, Nintendo and Konami have some pretty infamous suits involving trademarks and patents.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Fun but a bit buggy. Good news is the devs are active so far so i have hope the kinks will be worked out soon.
An expansion and patch 1.4 has recently been released, the bugs seem to all be gone and the optimisation is a lot better (but not really good enough for my mess of a device) I'm going some maintenance on my laptop right now so I can give playing this game another go.
> EA won't be kicking down doors and demanding royalties.
EA will buy them out then shut them down
-points to the tombstone with the words Westwood on it-
New theme music also a boxSurely that would require the staff to want to join the company?
Should EA come knocking with an offer, only the majority shareholders (or owner) gets to decide that should that ever come to be.
By then, any employees who don't want to be part of EA are free to leave and start anew (again).
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!
Being developed in part by the original DK devs.
And this one will have Richard Ridings doing the narration.
