I'm curious to see how it works. I did the Iorveth path and rescued the sorceress. And got the hideous "MURDER ALL THE MAGIC USERS" cutscenes.
Part of me wants a "golden" ending, but I like the Witcher in that there never really is one... so, I may just stick with the ending as is, to get see the impact.
However, I was unable to complete one quest because I had (stupidly) sold one of my rarer crating materials which was needed and that there is no way to get in the Very Definitely Last level. So, may try a new playthrough, try the Roarch side.
This will have save importing, then? I wonder how that's going to work for people not on PC. It would be nice if they did something similar to Dragon Age Inquisition and let us choose the decisions from the previous games.
What makes a good man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?Witcher 3 might be having some development issues, if this post from a supposed CD Projekt Red insider is of any indication. He apparently can't say much else because he's under NDA, only to be cautious when preordering anything, even hyped games from reputed developers.
All his relevant posts:
“The bullshitting with The Witcher 3 started from day 1. PR is creating an overblown vision of a game that doesn’t exist while the team is in crazy crunch time for over a year now. There’s some bad shit going on that if GAF knew GAF would not like.”
“Well in the end, it’s my words vs CDP PR. I mean, why should you believe me if I have no solid evidence to show? But that’s kind of my point, CDP built a very good relationship with gamers, and now it’s paying off, as opposed to, say EA.”
“I do have inside knowledge, I did have contact with the game, but again NDA and such, plus I’m just a dude on the internet. My only point is that GAF should take everything CDP says with a grain of salt.”
“EDIT: Just to some up my messy line of thinking – don’t pre-order tha game (especially on consoles), wait for the reviews, then decide. Or don’t pay attention to a random dude on the internet, and do what you want with your money.”
A Neo GAF mod came in and confirmed his status:
This could be a problem, but so far the "insider info" is that the PR department is hyping up the game (no shit, that's what PR departments do) and the devs are in crunch time. (again, no shit, it's a major AAA release, EVERY game studio goes through a period of crunch time)
This probably just means the game will get delayed or the console versions will be a bit cut down compared to the PC game, which isn't surprising considering the PS 4 and X Bone are less powerful than P Cs were years ago.

What makes a good man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?Intro has been released:
That looks so awesome XD I actually hope that we get to see a huge set-piece battle on the scale of Brenna.
CDPR has confirmed that the Witchering Hour will now be May 19, and not Feb. 24 as previously projected. (link goes to NeoGAF forum reposting of the announcement)
With Bloodborne being pushed back to March and now this game's release date being pushed back as well, the "big ticket" release day space got a little bit less stuffy.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!Goddammit!
Witchering Hour? Does that mean the release date?
Yup. May 19 is the new release date as of two days ago. Let's hope this one sticks.
Let's also hope this one will be good and bug-free enough out the gate that an "Enhanced Edition" won't be necessary.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!Ciri has been announced as a playable character.
I wonder if I can play it on console. The decisions you made in the first game weren't very important but there's a lot of important things in 2 that could have an impact.
God dammit. So even in this she's taking some focus from Geralt. That was one of my major gripes with the books.
(reads article) Huh, so maybe not that much focus. Hopefully not to the extent some of the novels did.

Why is that a bad thing? She's basically The Messiah of the setting, if that ice age thing is true.
Not to mention that (book spoilers) she's the one who is prophesized to fight the King of the Wild Hunt.
Playable Ciri has gotten me interested in this again.
My wife wants me to get this on PS 4 if it comes out on that, so i won't spend hours in the Computer room.
Bugger that, all my saves are on the PC. Hell, I finished the first game whilst on tour. Still got that save...
I loved Witcher 2, but found Witcher 1 to be in some ways "better" - I liked the combat style a bit more, the ARPG style in Witcher 2 is fun, but not entirely 100% amazing.
Mainly because I never seem to have the right bombs equiped at the time.
Trying a second playthrough, going with Roche this time, to see what's different. I know the Iorveth path has the save Saskia side, but i ended up with a pogrom against mages... decided to not min max my decisions but next playthrough I may try.
Also, let the mayor go cos no burning of elves. Next time may stab that bastard in the neck.
I did the Roche path and saved Anais, myself.
Also, I hope it either comes out for Mac or I get a PC that can run it because I also played it on Steam xD
I'm not discounting Ciri, but the whole reason I had started reading the novels was for Geralt's badassness.
Ciri eventually grew on me a bit, but I preferred Geralt, Yennefer, and Dandelion's antics and adventures over her exploits.

Is this a Jo Jo reference?Well, looks like I'm getting this on console then.
Me too, unless they come out with a Mac version or your choices in 2 will actually have an impact.
I'm hoping that they'll give us some version of a Dragon Age Keep. I have Witcher 2 on my PC.

I think... I think I can just about manage this. Which is good.
Now, just have to decide which world state to improt: Roche, Iorveth?
Cos they're both awesome bro's.
Roche, because Iorveth is a filthy elven murderer.
So, pretty hyped for this after watching some gameplay trailers. I'm still waiting for an open world RPG you can truly get lost in, and the Witcher 3 may be it. I had to skip Witcher 2 because my PC wasn't up to the task, but thankfully this game will be on PS 4.
