Surprised there isn't a topic for this(or maybe there is and I haven't been searching hard enough). Releasing animated films since the late 1930's, I don't really think there's been a disney film I've really, vehemently hated. At worst, a movie just comes off as boring(with Chicken Little).

Partly because I've watched it so many times, one of my favorites is Lion King(can still remember my dad constantly reenacting Mufasa's death "Scar help me!") I originally wanted to see it on broadway, since that was the only play I knew about(yeah, was kinda young then).

I really like peter pan, when I was little I watched it all the time. That one would be my favorite bu the best one? Bambi, for the animation and characters, they animated the deer fighting scene so well!

I actually found Lion King annoying as a kid — "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" sounded like another song I liked (although now that I understand music theory, it really doesn't), and I especially found "Hakuna Matata" annoying (also changed my tune on that). So yeah, Lion King is good.

My favorite, though, is a very off the board pick. The Emperors New Groove. I love the complete lack of a fourth wall, the constant lampshading, the frenetic pace, and oh yeah, llamas.

It's a very hard choice for me, because I like so many. However, on the whole, the one I find I like most is Beauty And The Beast. I just love everything about it— Belle is my favorite princess, there's good character development, the songs are fantastic and visuals are absolutely gorgeous.

While I like them all, I'd say my favorite is Sleeping Beauty. :)

I have a couple, but my personal favorite is possibly Mary Poppins. I watched that movie at least a dozen times when I was five or six.

For honorable mentions, that's a longer list. But I'm more than willing to include One Hundred And One Dalmatians, TRON, The Love Bug, Enchanted, The Lion King, Wreck It Ralph, Aladdin, The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

I agree with the original poster in that I can't really think of a Disney animated film that I actively dislike. There are some I'm indifferent on, and some I haven't seen (never saw Home on the Range, for instance, and from what I've heard, that may be for the best) but none I actually hate. From Walt's era, I'd say the best films are Pinocchio, Fantasia, and Sleeping Beauty. After Walt but pre-renaissance, I'd say the best is probably The Rescuers, though I have a lot of affection for Robin Hood. From the Disney renaissance, I'd say the best is probably Little Mermaid, though my favorite is Aladdin. I think Disney is staging ANOTHER renaissance with stuff like Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph.

Beauty And The Beast, with Lady And The Tramp in second place. If Pixars count, The Incredibles goes third.

[up]I don't think Home on the Range is that bad. I like it better than, say, Brother Bear. Worst case scenario, you won't lose much from giving it just one watch.

I think the best (as in most well made) is Beauty and the Beast, but my personal favorite is Aladdin.

The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.

For pure, outright, laugh-out-loud entertainment value, I'd say Aladdin too. But for story, songs and character, I go with Beauty and the Beast, followed by The Lion King.
