[up][up] Considering that Chapman is now working for Lucasfilm, which is now owned by Disney, there was probably some shifting around after she was removed from the project and Disney wanted someone who doesn't suck at Lucasfilm, so she was kept their even after the switched focus back to her version. Just guessing, obviously.

She went there by herself.

She felt more at home out of Disney than within it.

Incredibles 2, Pixar. Make it ALREADY - then get back to me...

Pixar must be really hurting from Brave not doing that well... This is getting sad how the more commercialized competiton (Dreamworks/ Blue Sky) are starting to beat these guys, IMHO (which they kinda are!).

[up][up][up] I can't imagine she would go to a place as shitty as Lucasfilm animation, even if she was laid off. She had to have been given a recommendation to go there by someone who knew about deal, I don't care what she said, that's the only way someone as good as her ends ups somewhere as shitty as that.

Pardon my unfamiliarity with Hollywood studios but what did they do to earn the prestigious "shit-ty" award?

[up]Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

And that's all they've ever done after 2005 brought the end of the only good thing they had going for them.

[up] No, but it is a souless marketing machine ran by the king of souless marketing. I'm just saying that the odds of someone with artistic integrity actually wanting to work there is odd unless something bigger is at play.

But we're talking about someone who hasn't ever been affiliated with Lucasfilm until just now. You're talking about someone who likewise has nothing to do with Brenda Chapman. Her moving there is not influenced by any "bad" thing Lucas did.

[up] I'm talking about how, a few weeks after it was announce that she moved to Lucasfilm, it was announced that Disney purchased it. From what I understand, Mark Hamill was told about the transaction months before it happened, so it would make sense if Chapman ended up at Lucasfilm to get a Disney name in there before the big announcement. In fact, that's the only way I could see Chapman ending up there.

But didn't Lucas announce that the reason he's letting Disney buy his company is so that he won't produce another movie there anymore? Is he even still working there?

[up] Yes, but the series was made when Lucas still pulled the strings.

And is this thread where we're supposed to talk about Star Wars The Clone Wars?

I'm not really sure what this thread is about anymore. This movie has been confirmed and disproved so many times that I don't know why anyone talks about it anymore.
