EA are evil, Rare are sellouts, and Rockstar aim to be controversial... That saved a lot of time.
I'm so sorry that my avatar doesn't appear fully in the shot, but the cat was threatening the photographer.I personally think that small companies are just as capable of the abuses that bigger ones pull off, just scaled down according to their budgets and manpower. It only looks like big + rich = evil because smaller operations allow malicious acts to be pulled off more casually and facilitate covering them up. There's also the sympathy that said small fry get due to their situation being relatively more precarious - some things are Necessary Evils in their situation, so to speak.
A good counterpoint to your arguement would be Retro Studios. They're famous for the Metroid Prime series, and are generally considered to be one of Nintendo's better developers. Yet for some time they were one of the worst companies to work at due to have obsessive amounts of employee surveillance and regulations, management that spent all their cash on XXX hosting sites and hookers, and a hostile work environment. It only changed when the main Nintendo offices heard what was going on and reshuffled everybody working there.
XXX hosting sites? -Snort- Does Retro have teenagers or adults working there? Well, at least Nintendo can be counted on to do the job and do it right nine times out of ten!
How many people here like DOS games? There's a number of DOS games out there that are real winners. Apogee Software is one of the go-to companies for DOS games. I don't know about you, but it's a shame that they had a number of perfectly good games under their belt, but then flushed years and money down the drain over Duke Nukem Forever!
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!DOS games?
Nintendo is cool and all except in their 3DS estore, they should learn a lot from VAL Ve specially if Nintendo wants to fight pyracy.
Video Game Companies...there are so many of them out there.
They come in all shapes and sizes. You have companies like Nintendo and Electronic Arts, that are so big and famous that if you have never heard of them, then you must be new to Video Games. Then you have smaller ones, like Bloodlust Software, that are made up of young enterprising individuals trying to make games to be remembered. Your Mileage May Vary on whether or not they succeeded.
How about Glu Mobile? If you have an iPad or Android, this is the go-to company for mobile phone games!
