Its good to care about the plights of other people, but it always feels cringey when those who are not apart of the group get more offended than people who are in.

I just really don't consider this on par with Blizzards's shit. This guy got too emotional

Alright, this is obviously not technically on the same scale as the hellhole that is Acti-Blizzard, but it's such a bullshit, exclusionary design philosophy and a symptom of a far larger issue of industry sexism at play that I can't not wrinkle my nose in disgust. I feel a little happier I dropped off these games after Deadlocked.

What is the problem exactly here?

What's everyone's thoughts on the Golden Bolt's reviews of the R&C series?

I'll post the first review for anyone who is unfamiliar, it goes all the way up to the PS 4 game with plans on covering the movie. I don't know if he'll do a full on review of Rift Apart right after that or if he'll instead let it sit for a while so that it can be considered a retrospective.

The R&C franchise turns 20 today! Insomniac has updated Rift Apart with new armor sets inspired by previous titles (and one that turns the Lombaxes into Clank, for some reason) to celebrate. In addition, the older games are headed to PS+ on the 15th. More info here.

Insomniac will also be doing a 20th anniversary stream today at 2:30 PM Eastern, where they play through past games.

The new skins were a nice detail. Reminds me of Insomniac updating Spider-Man with bonus skins long after its release.

It's true: in a series first, Rift Apart travels across dimensions to land on PC July 26th.

This was the game I got with my PS5. I don't regret it. Fun as hell. Pretty, too. I'm glad more people get to play it.

I didn't get a PS 5 specifically because I wasn't willing to justify it for exactly one game.

Now (assuming the computer version's minimum graphics requirements are satisfactory), I won't need to!

The Lombax/robot duo has arrived on PC for the first time (alongside their dimensional alternates). Rift Apart is out now on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Ransomware hack on Insomniac shows they are planning to have the next game out by 2029.

It really does suck that we found out about this in this fashion.

I'm glad to know, but I could have lived without finding out this way. The devs didn't deserve this.

Good news: R&C 2016's pre-order bonus, the Bouncer, is finally available for everyone after 8 years of exclusivity.

Might be enough to convince me to go back for the platinum.

Wow, lucky I've been playing the game again (as I got a new PSN account at the start of the year) so I've been going back for trophies on my entire backlog; when I go back for that Platinum like said, I'll give that a download. But my mind is intrigued that they FINALLY made what was a pre-order bonus (I didn't get a PS4 until August that year so I never got spoiled on what happened in the movie, ha ha) after 8 years.

Then again, Nintendo didn't reveal an unreleased AR card for Kid Icarus: Uprising until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launched so...um, IDK what I'm trying to say here.

The PS 4 Bouncer is absolutely insane, good against everything that isn't outright flying (and sometimes even then...), it's unreal

Insomniac missed the opportunity to re-release the original "Future" trilogy for PS4 (and "Into the Nexus" as that was the "conclusion" of the trilogy apparently), like when they did the same with the PS2 trilogy (and, again, with "Deadlocked").

We could've gotten trophies for "Tools of Destruction" and "Quest for Booty" too. Why didn't Sony implement trophies until like two years after launch when Microsoft made Achievements since day one on their 360?
