...Lone Survivor?
Give me cute or give me...something?The only things that come to my mind are Yume Nikki fangames, like Yume 2kki or .flow. I don't think there is anything else like LSD or Yume Nikki out there.
And that sounds nothing like them.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.How about Ib and The Witchs House?
One of the things I absolutely adore about both games is how atmospheric the music is. Especially in Ib where it gives off a feeling of loneliness.

Both Ib and The Witches House are good horror games but neither of them are quite as...surreal as LSD and Yume Nikki.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderThey're the only horror games I can think of that leans more on the surreal aspect than horror. I don't think there is any game out there as surreal as LSD and Yume Nikki.
Edit: How about Eversion?
Edit2: Or Sanitarium?

Both Ib and The Witches House look interesting, thanks! :)
Surreality, at least, not as big as LSD, isn't a requirement, though I love a little. Look at Irisu Syndrome.
(I do a lot of JRP Gs and Doujin/Indie games, too. I've played through and loved all 3 of the Mother games, but those are either surreal, or just plain crazy, depending XD)
Seconding Eversion. That game is... weird.
And the WM Gs (at least the ones that make sense) make it even weirder.
Sanitarium I'm not sure on, though. Yeah, it's pretty weird, and has a lot of psychological and surreal themes. But I don't really think it's that much weirder than, say, Planescape Torment. Which, granted, is weird,, but not what the threadmaker wants, I think.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Ib and The Witch's House aren't really much like Yume Nikki. They are RPG Maker horror games, but story-based on not as weird and random as YN. They can be quite surreal at times, though.
Still, they are good games and not terribly long (I wouldn't say that they are too short either, though). Although the True End of The Witch's House is... quite something.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.
I'm a freak— I enjoy nightmare fuel inducing games like the above two, because of how bizarre they are. I know there's little chance that any others exist, but I wanted to ask, anyways.
I'm more into this psych horror and creep out stuff, anyways.
