Carbon copy material

Ever played two wildly different video games that feature an item that looks and feels just about the same, but have a different name and possibly a different paint job or camouflage slapped on it? You might be dealing with carbon copy material.

Most people will take note that around 85-90% of runescapes new content looks and feels like world of warcraft material, well, thats because it quite possibly is! just given a different name and paintjob and shipped off with a giddy smile by the game devs.

Anyone else have any examples?

Well, I once played a shooter that featured an M 4 A 1 assault rifle, and another shooter that had the exact same rifle! They must've- oh wait... it's a real-world rifle. That's where it's from.

In all seriousness, I don't think I've ever seen anything like that. But I do remember seeing a fighting game character with the same kind of whip-sword that Ivy has, but that actually existed before her. Can't remember which game or character it was.
