Note to self: ESSENCE CONDUITS ARE BUGGY

yeah, AM 2 is kinda really throwing off my groove atm. I plopped a mana battery right in front of your Gateway several times and it refused to accept the energy from it, even if I wrenched it.

also affinity is bugged, you can actually see the damn thing in the occulus now, but instead of raising arcane and lowering ender affinity, both simply raise at 2x rate.

Soooo... I'm afraid that the essence conduit bug has corrupted the map so that trying to run it causes a stack overflow error the second the map is loaded. As such, the server has been restored to the most recent backup from one week ago. Please tell me if you need anything spawned in as a replacement.

I guess I won't be using Ars Magica 2, then.

The rest of Ars is fine, just apparently essence conduits aren't. Machines can work without the conduits to transfer the power.

Also, on thinking this seems like a good time to reset player.dat files to fix the Ars compendium. If you want to be reset then tell me and dump all your stuff in a chest first. I can also regenerate Thaumcraft research afterwards.

Edit: Okay, apparently the server isn't the issue. To fix the compendium go to the AM 2 folder under configs, open the main config file, and set stagedcompendium to false.

abluh. that's a lot of upgrading I did in the last week that's gone I think :s

things I've lost:

piles and piles of mana beans

a bucket of essentia piping, several ethereal blooms, a transvector dislocator, a tallow golem with an empty animation core, and 1.3 moonstone blocks.

1x glowstone glass, magitechs staff, crystal wand.

in my single player world, I've moved my base of operations around. Now I'm in the basement of the tower I was living in before and loving it now that I have plenty of room to expand and build machines. I've also started building into Advanced Genetics and finding out that it's powered by RF.

Things are replaced and in one of your chests.

With the help of conduits, anything powered by MJ can be powered by RF.

oh, right and I had.... 4? void jars I think? yeah, half the primal aspects + magic. and I forgot about my sad little stone golem guy I had pouring water into my crucible for me (decanting core)

Void jars are in your distillery chest and the golem is in your house chest.

Very funny swamp, there is a difference between the "empty" and "Blank" golem animation cores you know :P

This is incredibly fuckin frustrating.

I just encountered a crash which has completely made it impossible for me to access my save file. The save is still there, but I don't know how to get it to work. It won't show up in the saves list.

Horizons modpack, rotarycraft caused it to crash, caused by a valve pipe fatally glitched

Well that is a pain in the neck. Also the reason I advise making backups frequently.

turns out my level.dat_old file got deleted. It deleted my character's inventory and all the research I've done. As well as the research points.

Guys I am out of ideas what should I make?

a citadel to call your own? a water sculpture? I forget what all is in your pack. A massive AE system to make whatever you want?

I kinda already have the latter thing. Except with the backup restoring I forget what I hadn't programmed into the system at the time of the backup...

maybe you should build yourself a sense of aesthetics :P

Damn, new Thaumcraft research is more complicated than I thought.

it's not really that difficult once you get the hang of it and get research mastery.

my golems died again. I think they're just glitching out of existence because even the one that's was fully enclosed with a 1x1 hole as the only means of access is gone.
