Hmm. I'd say do a force update to the pack and redownload the Tropecraft zip.

I found a magical forest, I'm setting up a forward research lab to see if I can't get thaumic stuff set up and rolling smoothly.

Tried that, twice.

Now there's duplicates of a few other mods.

Are you clicking "Yes" on the update prompt after hitting the Launch button?

After not click it failed to help me, yes, I did.

That's my problem, isn't it?

Yeah, clicking Yes downloads the new version of the Direwolf pack. Click no.

That does not appear to be an option anymore.

I have no idea what you're looking at then because after clicking on launch there is a very clear yes/no prompt for me.

Is there anyway to completely remove all vestiges of Feed The Beast from my computer, then?

You can delete the launcher and redownload it. That should solve any issues pre-launching.

I've done that.

I've also deleted the entire folders for the mod two or three times, hard updated several times, and redownloaded the pack at least twice.

I can't even get it to work for just the non-tweaked pack anymore. It throws up duplicate errors whenever I try.

mateus, wtf are you doing? I swear this is the wrongest anyone has ever gotten it.

Delete the entire FTB directory and the launcher then restart your computer. That should clear out any buggedness cached anywhere.

argh, swamp. I need one perdito shard, and one fire shard and I'm good. but I can't find either of them! have you found any? It's pretty much impossible for me to continue much farther in TC 4 without them :C

Alright.

I go and delete the dupe mods from the mod folder, then try to launch again.

It appears to just go ahead and reinstall the duplicate mods, then jam up again.

Why would it be doing this?

just delete the ENTIRE mods folder. then replace it with the one from the pack swamp made.

This is without even involving Tropecraft. I am working straight from the normal downloaded FTB pack.

Well, it appears I'm not the only one suffering from this issue.

Seems to be linked to accepting the update.

There does not appear to be anyway back once you have.

I do hope all my ingestion of dangerous and potentially lethal unstable magic beans is appreciated.

I think I've just about cracked the aspects. hallelujah for farming mana beans.

feel free to try some yourself, but be warned they can be fatal, and that they have a very low fertility rate, so please replant if you get more than one, and take only one at a time please.
