Alright: There's now a basic smeltery at spawn with most of the casts in a chest next to it.
The S.W.A.M.P. is coming along nicely. I now have several more storage cells and an enderchest automatically suctioning things. The suction code is yellow-yellow-yellow, so don't use that for something.
i now have a 5x5 forge!
...not quite sure what to do with it yet, but i guess for now i'll just throw an iron ingot in and see what comes out.
Wait, you can make 5x5 smelteries? I thought that they only worked as 3x3 for this version. Anyways, you can fuel it with lava and it doubles ore output. You can also make casts to make metal tool parts for the various Tinkers Construct tools.
well, the base is 3x3.
then there is a 5x5 shell on the level above it.
Ah. Yeah, until 1.6 at least the hollow part has to be 3x3.
New Direwolf20 pack for 1.6.4! Since there's now something to actually use as a base, I'm rather tempted to try making a 1.6.4 pack again. After all, Thermal Expansion 3 and Thaumcraft 4... oooh.
If we did this, I would be more than willing to spawn in whatever people had already made on the current map.

I am fully OK with that, given how I did not have much progress on my base, but I did have a massive amount of materials.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenI'd be okay with it, but the FTB 1.6 packs don't seem to work if you don't have a 64-bit version of Java. If you only have the 32-bit Java you can't assign more than 1 GB to Minecraft, and for some reason that's not enough memory for the FTB packs.
Hmm. I can try to cut out some unnecessary mods so it requires less memory. Hopefully everyone has 64-bit java though...
If you need the 64 bit version, and your computer can handle it, when you go to Java's site to download look for the "all downloads" link, then you can choose the 64 bit version. Seems to default to the 32 bit. You'll also need to make sure to uninstall the 32 bit Java, if you have both the launcher won't know which to use and not load properly. Don't know if there's a way to tell it, if you need both on your computer.
... :(
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged Menif you can spawn my village, the twilight portal right outside, and some slime tree saplings (all spent on the tree's off in the southern hills) then yeah, im ok with it.
I am going to experiment with my computer. I'm all for stripping out mods to make it more client-friendly, though.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenI can't replicate your village specifically, but I can find a similar village somewhere and spawn in the items. That work?
I currently don't have an awful lot of value, aside from some spell scrolls. It's mostly food and a few stacks of ores.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"I'm still in the gathering materials in panic mode.
The new version of Thaumcraft didn't exactly whelm me, to be honest. I had trouble getting the research mini-game to actually work. I went in creative mode and did everything, including outright cheating, and I still barely got anywhere.
I guess I'm just not smart enough for it.
The research minigame shouldn't be too hard. If you have too much trouble I can always use the Thaumic Tinkerer "copy someone's research to someone else" tome and give you all of mine.
I had to watch a few youtube videos on it to figure it out at first, and even then sometimes the puzzle did generate unsolvable. Don't know if that part's changed yet.
I had to resort to spawning dozens of nodes just to get aspects to finish researching one thing.
When I showed a picture of what I'd done to some people on the forum, they were amazed by how much I'd managed to screw up.
Hopefully, I'll be better this time.
Will we be using Ars Magica 2?
Yeah. Sadly it seems like every time I try downloading the pack I get an error though. Hopefully they'll have fixed that by tomorrow so I can work on updating soon.
Edit: I've gotten everything to work. Server is now going down for updating.

Agh! I didn't get a chance to take inventory!
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenCurrent Tropecraft version: v3.3
Original post below.
Server is now up running Tropecraft v3.0! Download it here. As usual, install over a fresh pack, in this case the Direwolf20 1.6.4 pack. Also go into the options, allocate over a gigabyte of memory (and if that's your max just turn down your render distance or something) and paste -XX:MaxPermSize=256M into Additional Java Parameters under advanced options. Changelog:
- Updated to 1.6.4
- Added most missing mods to the D20 pack
- Removed several minor mods to help with lag
If you didn't get to take inventory on the last map, the save is available for download here. Use Tropecraft v2.01 installed over the Unleashed pack to open it. Send me a PM with whatever you need spawned in again.
IP is the same as usual so you can get it from your messages or whatever. Have fun!

I have now completely moved to my new rocket base! A word of warning, don't come without a jetpack. There aren't any ladders installed yet. Hopefully I'll get a decent-sized ME system up soon and actually be able to organize all my now messy stuff...
