Shiro doesn't look particularly dark-skinned to me, especially not when he was walking away.

So, did he pick his successor as the God of Death or did some guy just find out the old one disappeared and decided to take his place?

I'm guessing the latter. Or maybe a bit of column A, bit of Column B.

Korosensei cannot self-terminate. You must lower him into the steel.

As I expected, the tentacles forced Kayano do all this when she started having doubts about her revenge and there is something that will destroy Earth in March. Koro-sensei being the real Shinigami is the real shock here. Now I'm excited to finally see Koro-sensei's past.

I think the current Shinigami's backstory was about seeing Korosensei, but they had never met otherwise before.

So someone decided to give the most deadly assassin on Earth Mach 20 speed?

So, as I thought, Kayano did nothing relevant, after all (yeah, the little flashback was useless, since Korosensei will reveal his past now).

[up][up]I think the super speed was an unintentional perk. As if giving a deadly assassin super tentacles wasn't unfair enough.

Kayano is the reason that Koro-sensei finally decided to share the backstory he had no intention of ever discussing. I think that's quite an achievement.

Shiro would show up sooner or later, and the Korosensei's past would eventually be revealed in a way or another too. Kayano's arc may have served as a pretext, but considering the noise that the plot twist created, it was a pretty weak and anticlimactic arc.

All the arcs post-fake God of Death felt too hastily resolved to me tbh, for all the dramatic buildup. I really hope that doesn't keep up until series end.

^Eh, I wouldn't agree with that. If they would keep stretching the mystery for hundreds of chapters, it'd get annoying :P

Well, I'm not asking for a hundred chapters but...

Nagisa's mum who's been abusive for years and threatens to make her son do arson got resolved with a sigh and "Do what you want". Chairman Asano who's been tormenting us the whole manga and known for his calculating nature got resolved because of lack of a Plan B in his assassination attempt. And now we got someone who's been plotting their assassination since before the start of the school year lose because they got successfully distracted.

If it's not the pacing, it's what conclusion happened in itself. I could take maybe one arc lacking in resolution that I liked, but not so many in a row...

Another arc resolved in a few chapters. It's a bit dissapointing.

A year of pain and planning being ruined by people Kayano repeatedly stated she didn't care about, seems to have had no lasting effects at all. And all of a sudden she's listening to the creature that she believes killed her sister, but now she's willing to give him the benefit of doubt since the class said so.

Despite saying more than once that the tentacles would kill her regardless of what happened, everything is fine once again.

Like the poster above said, no one is asking for a 100 chapters but, all villains come with this big plan that has a whole story and motivations behind it, the setting indicates there is no way out this time and that the villain wishes to go down in the attempt rather than reform or quit, and then the villain is defeated, reformed in a few pages and everything is fine the next chapter.

It was said the tentacles would kill her if she actually used them long enough for the fight to reach a real conclusion. Korosensei didn't take that hit because he was actually unable to dodge it.

Not that the pacing is actually good or anything, but she obviously wasn't really going to die.

For the most part, I think the buildups and the climaxes are far more exciting than the actual solutions. My personal rankings for major arc resolutions go something like this:

Takaoka 2 > Takaoka 1 > Finals 2 > Finals 1 > Itona > GoD ≥ Akari >> Chairman > Ms. Shiota

The only real problem I have with Akari's arc was that she escaped the tentacles with little if any consequence. Ms. Shiota's arc would've been more interesting if the assassin didn't show up and Nagisa had to deal with her by himself.

Chapter 134: The legend of Yukimura's weird T-shirts begins.

In a nutshell, his backstory is the exact same one that Go D made up to get Irina on his side. What intrigued me was that Shiro's research facility was a private company that was somehow overlooked by the government. Maybe he was planning world domination or something.

Shirou Emiya would be heartbroken for Korosensei's absurd misinterpretation of the "People die when they killed" quote. This other Shirou however, seems quite pleased with what he got (so far).

Yeah, but he wasn't using it right here. He used an interpretation that was both really literal and then twisted it.
