Disney has finally signed up to have their movies streamed on Netflix. Right now all their "big" titles are not going to stream, but they've already uploaded some titles.

Alice in Wonderland, The Aristocats, The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars, The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue, Cars Toons: Mater's Tall Tales, Dumbo

Fox and the Hound, The Great Mouse Detectives, James and the Giant Peach, The Muppet Movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas

Pocahontas, Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World, The Rescuers Down Under, Tarzan & Jane, The Tigger Movie, Tinker Bell, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure

Might watch The Muppets Movie (it's the old one, right?) - it's the only one on that list that I both want to watch and haven't either seen recently or seen so often I know everything that is going to happen by heart.

They're already streaming their tv shows, right? I could've sworn I saw Kim Possible on there.

They've been doing their Tweencoms for a while now. As far as the old cartoon series go. Not as far as I know.

The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars, The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue
I don't quite recall those being Disney movies...

I wonder why they're not doing their classics yet.

[up][up]

Those were still owned and distributed by Disney despite being animated by another studio...I think. But where's the original? I like the sequels okay, but really First Installment Wins.

[up] They've still got profits to reap with theater re-releases?

Perhaps they're still trying to get people to buy their classics? Pretty much anything that's in "the vault" I would imagine they're not going to offer for streaming and only rarely air on TV.

How much does Netflix offer in the way of profits, anyway? Is it on a "pay-by-viewcount" basis, or is it just a general licensing royalty that they pay?

If/When the classics go up, they probably will be released on a limited basis. Some classics are already up there though (Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland). I think the most "elite one" those (Snow White, Pinocchio), probably won't be up for a long time. Same goes for the first half of the Renaissance. Tarzan, Mulan, and Hunchback will all most likely get added before Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Little Mermaid are.
