Huh... I thought that game came out already.

The dev is Little Orbit, and they posted the video on 11/30/12.

The game's delay from February to March just shows how much the video game is sucessful in recreating the TV show experience.

Gamers can look forward to an original storyline set in between Seasons 1 and 2 of the television series.

Original? I actually would have liked it if they adapted the comics in based off the show into the game. I'm getting sick of the whole continuity lockout bs.

[up]What would be the point of that, though? The stories told in the tie-in comics are already told. Why deny the chance for a brand-new story taking place before season two?

Especially as the story is in canon, this may be the last time we get a story told in this universe, why waste it doing something that's already been done?

Not impressed with this at all.

Because not all of us have the money and or access to buy the comics. Like for instant, I could wait for the game to drop in price for a one time purchase instead of buying a bunch of comics.

So, anyone going to check out the game today?

So I got the game today and while I've only played the first two missions I'm enjoying it. The gameplay is very similar to Marvel Ultimate Alliance which is not a bad thing in my book. The voice acting is great with most of the actors reprising roles.

Anyone else played the game so far?

I watched some of the gameplay. Doesn't seem like my thing and the graphics look kind of weird.

I kinda just gave in and watched the cutscenes, to get the gist of the story.

Some of the gameplay seemed very repetitive.

It's not the worst game I've played.

The characters are NOT balanced, though. Artemis is seriously deadly, and if you aren't playing normal difficulty, you'll need her to take down the ranged enemies ASAP: They can easily cut down the group. And Miss Martian's healing is a safety net you just can't pass up.

First boss fight was a trial: you don't really fight, just keep at a distance, wait for your allies to go down, then duck in and revive them before getting that distance back again.

If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.

I watched cutscenes of the game a while back. The voice acting and writing is fine, but man, I think the presentation itself does not do the writing any justice. There are times when there doesn't seem to be any sound effects, and it's jarring.

Oh well. I read on Greg Weisman's site that if the game sells well enough, they could do a sequel and continue the Young Justice series through video games.

[up]I can see the game having sales higher than the usual licensed game, but don't know if that will be enough to warrant a new one.

I just hope they add more story for the next one. This one was very light on it aside from two major points in it and the extra info from Red Arrow's journal.
