Thanks for the signup, mate.
I'll see if I can put up something.
I'll see what I can post tonight
Hey guys, anybody want to visit the Shinobi Forces base?
Not gonna happen with mine character though. Hourai's yet to approve Deadbeat's and his character has yet to show up anyway.
Okay. That is understandable.
I could see an American or British player character (basically either Hourai or Deadbeat) getting involved. I also have considered an attack on the Shinobi Forces's base.
Deadbeat's character is approved by Hourai, so he's good to go.
You guys should feel free to go on posting without me. Any characters I choose to play will probably not take a huge role in the fight unless I choose to lead an op. Incidentally, I put up a few guidelines in the OP, in the interest of giving this RP a little direction. It shouldn't be restrictive at all, I hope.

Wise Papa Smurf, corrupted by his own power. CAN NO LEADER GO UNTAINTED?!Thanks for the infodump, Hourai.
No thanks necessary. This is my job. It's what I do.
Wise Papa Smurf, corrupted by his own power. CAN NO LEADER GO UNTAINTED?!Hoping to see you do your GM skills since I just posted and I can't double post.
About Takeshi's MOS, he's special forces.

Made my second post, I hope it's improved from the first one
Yeah I'm just gonna ask if I have to RP the said Japanese VIP I have mentioned...
Go ahead and do it. Unless you want one of us to do it. Like I said, my main role is to figure out the effects of your actions on the game world. Depending on what you guys do, certain things may become simpler or more complicated and if things need to be complicated, I will insert the events that will make it so. I won't possess your NP Cs unnecessarily.

Wise Papa Smurf, corrupted by his own power. CAN NO LEADER GO UNTAINTED?!Just checking Hourai. 'Cause I got a feeling that something may happen after the VIP is in Afghanistan.
Sorry I wasn't around yesterday. Real Army stuff is getting in the way, but that's just life I guess. By the way, has anyone seen Deadbeat around?

Wise Papa Smurf, corrupted by his own power. CAN NO LEADER GO UNTAINTED?!Probably ain't got the time to do it since he's in other RPs. You can give him a PM shoot to see.
Yeah, I'm here and a bit stumped.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Ah see, what did I tell ya Hourai?
PS - Say Hourai, will you RP the bad guys since I plan to have the VIP caught in the attack?
Oh, sure.
Wise Papa Smurf, corrupted by his own power. CAN NO LEADER GO UNTAINTED?!Thanks.
If I want to use another character, do I need to let me current character die or be pre-occupied?
I have no problem with it if you guys don't. My one stipulation would be try to keep them separate so that we don't have metagaming issues.
I know this format is a little complicated but we'll work through it as we go along. Take my recent post as an example: I briefly described my character's role in an op from start to finish, nice and simple. Now, because it was a simple op and my character didn't play a huge role in it, it won't have much of an effect on the game world when I put the next SITREP up, but it may open up opportunities later for larger and more complex missions. It all depends on whether the guys the SEALs captured have any actionable intel.
Wise Papa Smurf, corrupted by his own power. CAN NO LEADER GO UNTAINTED?!Okay. Guess I'll post a signup to be formal.
And I'll post later after the next guy. Don't wanna spam it.
Thinking about it, I might do a bit of sheet juggling since I think I made a few bad choices in there.
Does anyone know if you can enter CCT training as an E-1?
EDIT: Wait, no you can't, since completing the indoctrination course for CCT or Pararescue gives an automatic promotion to Airman First Class.

RP Thread
Signup Thread
Alright, everyone. All discussion related to the game itself can take place here. Sign-up related discussions should probably still be in the sign-up thread.
How this game is going to go down
All players are members of a squad in whatever unit they chose at the start of the game. A player has the right to apply for a lateral transfer to a different unit, including attendance of any special selection courses or schools, at any time as long as they are not currently out on an op. An op, in this case, is defined as any mission or assignment that their character may be conducting at any given time, whether or not it involves combat. The transfer process itself may count as an op and a chance for Character Development, at the player's discretion.
Remember that, if ever these rules should conflict with the Role Playing Rules, the RP Rules always take precedence. Or, to paraphrase George Orwell, break any of these rules sooner than do anything outright barbarous*.
Conducting Ops
When a player is out on an op, it will be monitored from time to time by the GM, his XO, or any of their appointed representatives. When the op is completed, the GM, his XO, or any of their appointed representatives may decide what impact, if any, the op had on the tactical, regional, or strategic picture of the game.
After all players have completed their current ops, or a reasonable amount of real world time has passed, changes to the global situation will be reflected in a situation report (SITREP). The effects of your actions will not always be clear. Generally speaking, bigger strategic actions tend to have longer-term effects.
Joint Ops
Combined operations with forces from different countries are a fact of life in the modern age of low-intensity conflict. To avoid potential confusion (a process known as Deconfliction. Don't ask me why.), the player that proposes the op will be called the Ground Force Commander, meaning that their country and unit are taking the lead. Other players may freely jump onto an op at any time and it falls to players to work it out among themselves what role they will play, if any.
The Ground Force Commander is ultimately responsible for how the op goes because his commanding officer (or he, if the player IS the commanding officer) has overall command over allied forces in the area.
Roles and Responsibilities
As your GM, I promise to:
As my XO, I delegate the following powers to Paulie:
