Not entirely original, if memory serves, that story has just been moved forward from the webcomic, since it happened as part of a later story arc. The knights having a helicopter is new, though.

Hunh. I don't recall it. Was it just a one-page thing in the webcomic? If so that might explain why I don't remember it.

EDIT: went and checked and wow, it's actually a few pages, and right before the whole Sweet Mask arc. I wonder why it slipped my mind. Weird.

New chapter is out, and with it some very significant divergences from the webcomic.

Webcomic: Flash wants Saitama to be his disciple, as alluded to last chapter, challenges him to essentially a game of tag. Almost dies if it wasn't for a Genos Ex Machina. Then they go out to handle some monsters but Sonic shows up, and it's clear that him and Flash have history.

Manga: all that happens, but there's also a god box now, and the ninja village monster association duo shows up. And Saitama and King successfully capture Manako, and then at the end Flash, Saitama, and Manako are invited to a meeting with BLAST?!

I really doubt that Saitama would've killed Flashy Flash. He has excellent control when fighting humans and uses just enough power to knock them out comically without killing or hurting them permanently. See Sonic in the same chapter.

Fair enough. Flash certainly thinks he's about to die nevertheless.

Heck, I'm pretty sure Saitama so far has never killed a human. Only monsters.

Saitama does a similar Death Punch against Genos when they were sparing the 1st time but pulls back at the last moment. He probably would've done the same with Flash.

Oh yeah I mean Saitama's not gonna kill a dude, and him having an accident is actually very close to impossible (at least implausible) because of his ridiculous reflexes. Only Garou was maybe faster than him for the smallest amount of time in their fight, and that did not last.

And of course by that point Garou wasn't human anymore, so Saitama wasn't holding back anyway.

This chapter had a lot of really good jokes but Blast just being on hand might be my favorite.

Mine was that after being hinted for some chapters, "The Great Search fo Manako" took 3 panels . But it also was heartwarming how Saitama treats Manako as a friend, and invites her back for curry if she wants.

Mine was probably both Genos and Saitama making guesses at how many times Saitama has kicked Sonic's ass, and Sonic silently bemoaning a larger number than either of them remembered.

I'm partial to the revelation that after moving in, Genos fitted trapdoors into Saitama's house, so he can peek in. He's turning into something unfortunate where Saitama is concerned.

Very short chapter today, being only 14 pages long. Though unlike in MHA's case it seems to be this one time thing, considering Volume 29 releasing in Japan soon.

...Manako's an offshoot of Psychos?

I really like the panel when Saitama and Manako high-five each other while saying they are precious, in response of Flashy Flash calling them "precious samples" .

The Great One probably isn't going to last long, but I hope he gets smacked around an extra bit just for the Ninja village's naming policy.

I’d say I’m surprised about Genos but that’d be a lie. No man handled and took care of his core as lovingly as Saitama did!

New chapter with plenty of meat to dig into from a story perspective.

The ninja village - although it's more like a secured facility - where Flash and Sonic were raised/trained was modelled off the God cube. The founder used to work with Blast, and was the only person that could open a gate that connected God's domain with theirs. However the founder "Empty Void" (and yes they point out how dumb this name is, as is traditional) monsterized and was defeated but not killed by Blast, who's been looking for a method to reverse monsterization ever since.

Sonic sends a letter of challenge, we see that he used to be a nice kid. Flashy goes to meet him for a duel while Blast, Saitama, and Manako go to the ruined ninja village.

As you can imagine, this has taken a direction that while is in the same vein as the webcomic, changes some things, namely by having Blast actually involved. I'll probably weigh in on the differences once this arc is over.

New chapter dropped today, and it's already been translated into English as well.

Flashy and Sonic begin their duel. We see a bit of their backstory as well. Flashy is impressed by how far Sonic has come, but before the two can get into it again they're interrupted by the rest of the ninjas. They admonish Sonic for going against the plan; Sonic doesn't care, labelling all of them as weaklings anyways (next to Saitama at least). Chapter ends with Flashy and Sonic teaming up temporarily so they can take out the trash.

This chapter also reveals that Sonic was Flashy's senior, at least when it came to swordfighting. He's the one who taught the basics of swordsmanship to him.

So, the webcomic actually updated recently. Pretty good chapter too. the robot assault continues, and even the Neo Heroes are getting pressed a little thin. Garou is attacked on his latest worksite but effortlessly destroys the combat cyborg that was sent to collect him. End of the chapter is most interesting. Sweet Mask, using his shapeshifting powers, saves a boy and his elderly grandmother. Unbeknownst to him the group of cyber-armoured boy band members has seen him and wants to put him to death.

Another WC chapter came out. Looks like things with Metal Knight and the Neos are coming to a head. Mccoy being good?

Also, seems like there's some new manga chapters too but I haven't followed that in ages. Saw that one of the seemingly dead samurai leaders got a disney death and recovered fully though.

Haven't read the Webcomic chapter yet, but the manga chapter is out too.

"That Man's" resurrection is pretty disgusting but Raw as fuck.

Hunh, so "That Man" is actually appearing before Sonic and Flash. Interesting. In the webcomic he's offscreened easily by Saitama.

Speaking of the webcomic, damn those are some developments. From the Neo Heroes suits hijacking them, to Bofoi having Boros in a vat, to Saitama accidentally K.O.ing Blue. Lots of moving parts.
