Should've tried for Disney XD, that's practically the only network that airs action cartoons anymore.
I dunno about Disney XD. The revival, should it be made, would likely be a 3rd party cartoon, so Disney XD might give it an undesirable timeslot.

"You can run, but you can't hide from the Buzzinator!"True, true. Know any better channels? Cuz I'm at a loss. I don't even know if Nicktoons still exists, and who wants to end up there?
...It still exists I think and it's a dumping ground for all of Nick's old shows essentially. It's pretty much used in the same way that CN used Boomerang (until they retooled Boomerang).
Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothThat actually sounds better than a lot of the original shows they aired on Nicktoons.
Well I could be wrong though. I haven't watched Nicktoons in years but even way back then I remember seeing shows that Nick found either old or inadequate in money making be moved on to there. Nicktoons was how I saw Rockos Modern Life and Ren And Stimpy back in the day as I wasn't old enough to even remember those cartoons when they first came out.

Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothYeah I know they had older shows on quite a bit, but they always had a handful of original Nicktoons shows with the majority of them sucking. I also know they air quite a few 90s cartoons at night on Teen Nick.
Yeah I remember some bad shows ending up there like Mr. Meaty, Back At The Barnyard, and Tak And The Power Of Juju. I think Planet Sheen also ended up being dumped there too at some point.
Still Nicktoons provided some old toons and decent if not good shows like Martin Mystery, Kaput And Zosky, The Secret Show, El Tigre, Ironman Armored Adventures, and arguably Kappa Mikey back in the day. I also recall shows like Three Delivery and Skyland. Those were generic yes but they were certainly better then those really bad sports cartoons that I saw popping up on Nicktoons before I quit watching the channel.

Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothNicktoons network is now where they dump the newer stuff that only recently got bumped off the main channel's schedule. Teen Nick at night is where the classics go.
So anything that's not Spongebob....
Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothSo what's the news? What's the skinny? What's the 4-1-1?
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! As I said, they got rejected by Cartoon Network. Next is trying streaming networks.
Although because the stretch goal was reached, they'll do a 1-minute teaser anyway.
Streaming services sound good, so long as it isn't Amazon Prime or Hulu. (I'm a Netflix man myself.)
Well even if they do go for a streaming service it'll end up online somehow illegally anyways.
Actually, quick question. Do I need a Hulu account to watch those Hulu Original shows I keep hearing about?
It varies. I used to watch The Awesomes there for free but now you need an account. -_-
Given that pretty much every action cartoon I hear about at this point is on a streaming service, I suspect that's where they'll have their best luck.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. Is it alright to add stuff about CN's refusal to air the revival on their networks to the SWAT Kats pages, particularly on the main blurb, on the "Screwed by the network" example, and possibly something on the YMMV page?
I'd like to possibly add on it that this is probably seen as a good thing considering their treatment of other action shows (deathsloted to 5 am in the mornings to ensure a quick cancellation because no one will be able to watch it, while CN marathons Teen Titans Go! all day)
Apparently even Warner Bros wanted to animate it according to the Kickstarter update
I don't know exactly how to word it but something on those lines
Strictly speaking, not the place for that discussion in general.
That said, no, refusing to air something is not Screwed by the Network. Nobody at Cartoon Network is in charge of the show and thus in a position to screw around with the SWAT Kats revival. They chose not to fund it. Trying to equate "refusing to buy a show" with "messing around with a show already on the schedule to kill it" would be massive Trope Decay.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Ok sorry, honestly wasn't sure what the right thread was to put it at
in other matters. I'm hoping the reboot does well. It's probably for the best it doesn't air on Cartoon network, netflix seems to be a better place for action cartoons nowadays.
Noice
"We be we baby!"A year, 2 months and a day later...
So...how are things coming along?
Same as before: Nothing.
"We be we baby!"
They've been rejected by Cartoon Network according to the Kickstarter update.
I kind of figured they wouldn't bite, though. Action cartoons and all. Netflix is possibly the best option, especially if Netflix is optioning S3 of Young Justice.
