XCOM: The Great Invasion Signup

1. It's more the players than the actual soldiers. I'm still thinking how that'll work out, but it's mainly to make the players have more of a say on how the actual XCOM group operates.

2. Funny enough, I had some soldiers get nicknames before Sergeant, so there's that.

Yeah, the rank at which soldiers get nicknames is a bit random.

I know this because I've been doing a run using only heavies, so I thought I had it figured out based on what unlocks they would have by the time they had a nickname. But then I had a few who had nicknames but not the abilities I had figured they would have.

Anyway, I figure those who want to start with nicknames could because in this RP we're more focused on our individual solders' backgrounds than the game. But you could opt not to start with one, and instead get one later, like I did.

Name: Ken Briggs

Age: 32

Gender: Male

Nationality: Southern California, USA

Class: Heavy

Appearance: Ken is of average height and military build. He has brown hair and green eyes. He is Caucasian, and has a scar on his left cheek.

Personality: Ken cares about the people he fights alongside, and won't hesitate to help them if they need it. He places the lives of his fellows above the mission, but will otherwise follow orders.

Background: Ken was born and raised in Del Mar, California. When he turned 21, he joined the military and was eventually sent to Afghanistan. He hasn't been in too many battles, but those that he has fought in have shown that he is proficient with a machine gun and can keep calm under pressure. The scar on his face came from a piece of shrapnel that came a little too close to giving him a nice new hole in his head for comfort.
