I've read a few chapters of its manga adaptation, but don't have much interest in the movie. :/

Saw it as during the 2012 edition the Reel Anime festival by Madman Entertainment.
Very good, if not quite as high energy as Summer Wars or The Gir Who Leapt Through Time and a somewhat bittersweet ending. (2012 Reel anime was short on happy endings).

I have to say,the implied furry sex scene caught me surprised after seeing his latest family-oriented movies.Furries must have squeed at that scene...

The Wolf Children Ame and Yuki (おおかみこどもの雨と雪 Ōkami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki) has been licensed by Funimation a while ago. This is by Mamoru Hosoda, the director who made Summer Wars. Has anyone actually seen the film yet?
