Well....

That was garbage. Why does this need its own series instead of being a one off of the Multiverse in Adventure Time? This only shows that an unrestricted Pen is even more childish than usual but tries to do so just with swear words and unfriendly gestures.

[up] YMMV.

I on the other hand enjoyed it. Not sure if I'd follow it though but I enjoyed what I saw.

I thought it was decent, but agree that there was nothing funny that couldn't have already aired on something with Adventure Time's time slot.

It was... OK. Since it's so short, I'd probably watch another two episodes, to give Pen Ward the benefit of the doubt, but so far it's no Adventure Time.

I actually loved it. It's on par with my childish nature. That, and I just love web animated series.

I thought it was funny as a short. Didn't like the abrupt ending, but I thought the jokes worked for the most part and I like all of the characters. It'll be interesting to see if they do slowly develop running threads over time like adventure time does.

It's being presented as kind of a dirtier Adventure Time but that humor comes off as kind of forced imo

I thought it was alright. The whole overlapping time thing was pretty clever but most of the jokes didn't really do it for me. I'll keep watching it though.

Only major problem I had with it was that it was a short.

I think full length episodes would help this immensely. As it stands it seems like they're struggling to cram a coherent plot + jokes into five minutes.

The plot worked fine, it was the jokes that fell flat. Probably an effect of having so many characters introduced at once (so none of them got the spotlight), which is why I'm going to give it a bit more of a go.

I think it might have some potential, but it's really rough around the edges now. They need to drop the forced jokes and pointless swearing/gestures that only a thirteen-year-old would find funny, but Adventure time's original pilot was pretty bad as well.

Not a great introduction, but it could grow if given a chance and some more writers.

I liked the ending, but most of it was eh.

...am I watching the same show? The jokes and story and characters introductions were fine to me. T He only thing that stood up was the Finger. It was at that point where I knew this would NOT air on TV.

I think it's because the length makes it seem like it's a regular web series you usually find from, say, Mondo Media, if it actually had a budget.

I was disappointed, but considering it was only the first episode and only 5min long, I think I'll have to see a little more before I can really say much about it.

This is what happens when you do something similar and it ends up with too many cartoonists spoil the concept. I think this would have been easier for pen if he made this as an alternate universe for Adventure Time. It just looks like he's trying too hard to make this as a followup to Family Guy.

I bet one of the reasons he put this on Cartoon Hangover is because on the Internet you aren't constrained by the standards and practices of television. He's allowed to get more mature stuff in there, such as a character giving the finger twice.

[up] I wouldn't call a character flipping someone the bird for little reason twice "mature".

[up][up] Dude, get your pretentious hipster ass out of here and go fuck yourself. Criticizing a show and it's creator is perfectly fine, but calling people idiots because they happen to like a show you don't care for is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay past the fucking line.

On topic however, Danny flipping people off didn't bug me because it fit his character. If all the characters were doing it, they it would be annoying.

Ouch, that was a little sour, wasn't it? That's probably why I added tags that poked around at what I said. Because hey, if I called everyone else an idiot, then that might mean that I included myself. I tend to get really self satirical that way.

It's just something about my sense of humour and slight disregard for fellow humans.
